It was a rainy day on our visit here, but we still enjoyed Barbados. St. John's Parish Church is the first church of St. John that is presumed to have been a simple wooden building, but its date is unknown. The parish along with St. George, was carved out of St. Michael in 1640–1641. But successive churches were badly damaged by the hurricane of 1675, the Great Hurricane of 1780, and finally destroyed by the Great Barbados hurricane of 1831. The present church building (the fifth) was built is 1836, and the chancel added in 1876. It is the prototype of the restrained Barbadian version of the Gothic parish church, and a beautiful Westmacott sculpture, commemorating Elizabeth Pinder, on the left of the main door.

“Location of property suitable for easy access to buses. Pleasant walking distance to local beaches. Great local neighborhood color. We enjoyed the chickens and monkeys.Property was not very welcoming, basic things missing like hand soap, toilet paper, comfortable beds and standard check in binder. We also found hair in one of the beds and showers, which very evidently did not belong to either of us staying at the property.”

“Oceans was a very comfortable place to stay in Fitts village! The beds and lounge seating areas both inside and out were all fantastic!The kitchen was very well equipped and Debbie’s welcome pack very much appreciated when arriving late in the day!The private beach access and sun beds on sea wall fantastic and so peaceful!The other bonus was the provision of beach chairs, umbrellas, and picnic cool box which made our trips out extremely comfortable too!We would definitely like to return to this……

“The house was extremely comfortable. Natasha was really helpful and always checked in. 2 bedrooms, plenty of space and close to the beach. The AC is in the living room. Each bedroom has a fan and there’s a dehumidifier. There’s also laundry and a full kitchen. The location on this map is however not the exact location. You will be located close to Brownes beach. There is another Brownes ave located there. We rented a car which made moving around so easy but there is also the Z bus and they come……

“Would definitely stay here again when we return to Barbados with family. The property has everything we needed, and what a spectacular location. We hired a car which made getting here so much easier.The view and sound of those waves from the balcony is what dreams about Barbados are made of!Next time I would ensure we communicate earlier with the property manager about check in time etc, but Michelle the housekeeper was amazing and let us offload our baggage and get settled in after our long……

“This beautifully appointed & newly remodeled spot was just what we needed to transition in to our vacation. We sat on the balcony in the morning sipping coffee, overlooking the scenic valley and ocean, and relaxing. This spot was close enough to the restaurants, tourist spots, music and airport to be a short drive but far enough not to hear anything but birds. Our hosts were very friendly and enjoyable. We will definitely be back!.”

“Thank you to Tricia the property manager who was so kind and friendly on our arrival and departure. Thank you also to Tina for sharing this wonderful property and for her excellent communication prior to arrival. The property has a lovely deck at the front for lounging and a fully air conditioned interior which is comfortable and homely. The kitchen has everything you might need. The location is perfect with an easy short walk to the supermarket, craft village, restaurants and beach. Sunset……

“Robert and Donna were very helpful and went out of the way to help us. The were spacious and very comfortable and air conditioned. The living room area was large and the kitchen well stocked, there was nothing missing, the three other people were quite impressed, beaches were about 10 minutes away and there was a restaurant about 5 minutes away that served great meals. I have rented in several countries and this one is the best one, by far.”
