"I booked this property for a 3‑night stay. At first glance, the apartment appears modern, spacious, and well‑designed. Unfortunately, the stay was severely impacted by major cleanliness and hygiene issues, which made the accommodation unsuitable and unsafe. Black Boy Inn

"This was our first visit to The Black Boy Inn and we absolutely loved it! We chose the 4 poster room, which was stunning, the bed was super comfy, the bed was huge and bedding soft and fresh. The bathroom was clean and fresh with lovely soft towels. The staff were so polite and helpful, the restaurant served lovely food, great portion sizes, arrived promptly and was very reasonably priced. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and the range of cereal and fruits was brilliant. Lots of little bars and restaurants locally, supermarket was a walkable distance for anything needed. I wouldn’t stay any where else if we ever return to this part of Wales. Absolutely brilliant all round."

"I loved the pool area it was really nice and good to see the pool being cleaned overnight. it would be good if there was a bar of soap provided as it’s tricky having a bath when the squeeze shower gel is high at shower level. The shower was a bit dodgy as it squirted water upwards and bounced off the ceiling but I did report it. The rooms were nice and we had a great fan to keep us cool. nice tea and coffee with decaf too. The only bit that was frustrating was that the people came to collect the dirty washing or something at 6am which was really noisy each morning. The lady on reception was lovely. I didn’t anticipate being asked to pay for parking though which was a bit of a surprise. Breakfast was good with a nice cooked breakfast and yoghurt cereal juice etc. I heard people asking for porridge and someone was offered pancakes so it would have been nice if we had been offered this too."

"Great hosts who you can tell truly care about the property. They were easy to communicate with and understanding of our chaotic travel during our time in Wales.Our trip was a whirlwind of chaos. And upon arriving at 1am, we were relieved the check in was so easy.Plenty of beds, and room to spread out. Key for a family who’s been crammed together in small hotel rooms previously!Easy walk to everything in town. Only issue was the toilet being tricky to flush & the shower not being tall enuf for my son. But he is 6’2”. Would stay here, or in any property by these hosts, again"

"The location of this property is lovely. We would have loved to stay an extra few days. Very private and peaceful surrounded by some lovely trees but with Caernarfon a good 15 minute walk away. Lots of nice restaurants (La Marina Cei and Fu's were amazing) and the castle is definitely worth a visit. Property is very comfortable although could have been a little cleaner as lots of dusty corners and cobwebs and smelt a little damp as though it had been closed up for a while. We opened all the windows and that seemed to help. Very well equipped but please take your own towels and a shower mat if possible as we got there and ended up buying some towels as they are not provided which is unusual. Also be careful if you have a low car as the track to the property is rather uneven although this just adds to the privacy. We would be happy to return for another visit armed with our new towels of course. Sue & John"

"I booked here as a base for our trip to Mount Snowdon. It was a perfect location, with enough things to do around the small town to keep us busy as well. All four major supermarkets and a good handful of pubs within a 10 minute walk. The castle was fantastic, my son was obsessed with the direct view of the castle. The walled town was really interesting too. Everything was super clean and tidy, with small little add ons that made it feel more like a home from home. For example things like shower gel and shampoo provided, even a bit of salt and pepper in the kitchen. We travelled with a six year old and an 8 month old. There was an effort made for children, a high chair and a cot, a stair gate up the second flight of stairs. Plastic cups in the kitchen (but no plastic bowls, however we appreciated there’s only so much space). However from a safety aspect we’d hugely recommend to the host to add children blind safety clips. As the windows on the top floor (because they are almost ground level) a toddler could easily get hurt in the cord. They are inexpensive but could save a life. We would 100% stay here again. Bed are super soft as well. It says parking is available, I do feel this is a little white lie. There’s potentially free overnight parking outside if you’re lucky for a space, otherwise there’s a PAID car park 200 yards away. We would still stay here again however!"
