“The location was great and the area quiet. Convenient to train and bus, grocery, and local interests. Property was ok in cleanliness (white grout and subway tile require a LOT of maintenance) and the modern updates were poorly installed. Far too many bric-a-brac to keep dusted. Comfortable and spacious. ”

“The hotel’s proximity to the train station and the availability of a microwave oven are positive aspects. However, the lighting in the room is inadequate, especially near the door. Furthermore, the dark-colored carpet makes the room appear even dimmer. The room’s price is quite high, likely due to the Cheltenham Festival.”

“The 5-night stay was overall comfortable, although there was an issue with controlling the temperature of the hot water shower. It would occasionally become scalding during showers. It would also be wonderful if breakfast could include some fruit. Other than these minor points, it was a delightful stay. When we arrived in the late afternoon, the reception gentleman kindly helped my daughter and me carry our luggage to the room on the 2nd floor.”

“Clean room, but front desk is understaffed”

“excellent location. Parking free from 3pm - 9am right outside the door. Very nicely renovated, good cooking facilities. Very friendly and helpful owner. Only downside for us was the bed is next to the wall so not so easy to get in and out of as a couple when you are old like us.”

“Great flat local to Gloucester and the docks. Sometimes the out of hours contact was hard to get hold of but that is no way a negative on the flat. Very tidy and clean with all basic items you need.”

“Hotel in the process of changing hands,only one staff , no evening meals or breakfast.Room not what i booked, bathroom required better cleaning. No milk or cup for tea. ”

This was our second visit to Hatherley Manor and they maintained a consistently high standard of service on both occasions. One of the nicest hotel experiences we’ve had.”
