Welcome to Drift Away Cottage—a three-bedroom, two-bathroom St. Simons vacation rental with a fenced backyard, string-lit pergola, and more space than you'd expect. The only hiccup in my check in process was I did not receive a code before arriving to the house. I spoke with an after hours call center and they remotely unlocked the door for me. She informed me that someone would call me within the hour with my code. I did not receive that call. I attempted to call the after hours center again with no response. I began to text the after hours. Shortly after I received a call from Kathleen. She had some issues with her phone. She was super accommodating and helpful with me getting a code. Soon after that I received a text from Bryan, the manager. He was great and helpful with assisting me also. For the inconvenience, he delivered a gift card to the residence. I was on St Simmons for a law enforcement conference. My last class was on Wednesday from 8:30 until 10:30. I knew checkout was at 10:00 and I knew I would not make it back in time for check out, I spoke with Kathleen about the issue and she accommodated me with an extra hour. Everything with the house and management was great....will definitely rebook with them.

Good stay

Was a good place to stay but the hard wood floors need to be washed. When we were walking around the house the bottom of our feet and socks got dirty. Other than that the house was very clean and well maintained.

The cottage was spotless!It had tasteful ocean furnishing, plenty of everything and large airy property. The beds were soooo comfy too. Cannot find any fault at all. Definitely a place if you want a stress free vacay!

Weekend getaway

The property was very nice and clean (although we did kill some large bugs inside).The neighborhood was nice and quite. Also I didn't realize there were NO tv's in any bedrooms. The property had a RIDICULOUS amount of notes all throughout the house. I probably will not be using this rental again.

Stunning cottage! Phenomenal Stay!

The second walking into 'drift away', no matter where one may be coming from, it not only is "picture accurate", but exceeds- in all the beautiful decorated interiors, the time and thought clearly spent by owners etc w/details of EVERYTHING and ALL things in AMAZING perfectly working condition, PRISTINE...AND comfortable and great layout. Much deserved accolades beyond any expectation, which is coming from avid vacation home renters, for many years, all over the U.S. and World. We will be back, as it also was a perfect location for anyone visiting SSI, but for us, a very easy few streets from a nice visit to see my mom and dad who are retired on the island and, gives us great reason to defi Italy come back, and hope to be able to rent Drift Away in the future. The property was overall very clean, location was great. The notes around the home were quite annoying, as if the people staying there don't know common sense. I understand notes here and there, just not in excess like this.

Comfortable, Clean, and Beautiful!

We loved this house! It lived up to all the expectations we had from the photos in the listing. It was very clean and organized and had everything we needed for our three-night stay. The check-in and check-out processes were simple, the beds were comfortable, and the common spaces were relaxing. The location was excellent; nothing on the island seemed to far away, and we were within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and seemed safe. There is an airport quite nearby, so we did see and hear a few small jets fly overhead a couple times, but it was not often and was not intrusive. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a last minute trip. We tried to contact owner to check in the following day, but no response. Had to stay at King and Prince and book two days out. Trip Advisor not set up for next day check ins apparently.

Perfection

We will rent here again. This house was super clean and beautiful inside & out. We loved grilling and sitting under the lighted outside area. We spent a good amount of time outside sitting, reading and in fellowship. It is walking distance from everything - food, shops, groceries. The pictures on VRBO are great, but it is better when you actually see it. Perfection! One of our best vacations.

Great Weekend Escape

This was a great trip for the family. The house was super clean and well kept. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood and it’s close enough to many of the areas in St. Simons that you would want to go see. The property manager was easy to communicate with and the use of the Happy Stays AP made the check in and out process simple. We would visit this place again if available.
