“A lovely stay at Victorian House. Clean and comfortable room. The bed and pillows were so comfortable - real quality. The staff were very friendly and its a nice touch to have free cake at reception. I really enjoyed my stay.”

“Perfect stay! The inn is lovely and cozy owned by a wonderful couple who made me feel right at home. The breakfast was great and very reasonably priced. They even agreed to store my baggage for several days while I hiked in the region. Can’t recommend enough!!”

“The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs.”

“An amazing stay at the Dale Head Hotel! Beautiful location and well-manicured grounds to walk around. There is access to the lake from the property, but not easily - the path is a little over-grown. The Manager, Dale, was lovely and could not have been more helpful. We were there to hike Helvellyn, and he advised us that Swirls Car park (beginning of the hike) is easily accessed from the hotel by a woodland footpath, rather than the main road, or paying for the car park.
