"We had a lovely stay here for two night, room was lovely and warm.
Very dog friendly, breakfast was lush, over all lovely little pub and b&b..
We will definitely stay here again.
Many thank to all staff.

"Got to the hotel after a long travel only to be told when trying to check-in that it was full and they were double booked. No one had tried to contact us to let us know prior to arrival. The staff had tried to secure alternative accommodation however this was not in a location we wanted to be in. Very disappointing. Contacted Expedia.com who were very apologetic but could not find us an alternative and we were left to find somewhere ourselves. Expedia have agreed to refund the difference in cost. This was not a great experience at all."
Traditional Family Friendly Farmhouse cottage - sleeps 8
10/10 Excellent
"Was lovely chatting to Tony the host a few days before we arrived he gave me so much information about the area and the house. We had the most wonderful week in ths beautiful Farmhouse with so many original features. The beds were so comfortable and an added bonus each bedroom had an ensuite. The livingroom was cosy with plenty of seating and a beautiful log burner that kept you toasty. My children and dog loved playing in the enclosed garden. So many lovely running/walking routes straight from the door that always ended up at the sweet cafe a short walk back to the Farmhouse. Scalfall pike is a short drive away. Was a home from home with everything catered for. Thank you Tony for the most wonderful Christmas in your amazing Farmhouse. "
"For £60 a night I had a clean and comfy bed, a hot shower, and a tea and coffee station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Yes, it is a little noisy and crooked, but it's an old pub with normal pub hours so that's to be expected. I'm a female in my early 30s travelling on my own and I felt very safe and welcomed.
Obviously this is not the hotels fault so still rating a 5, but just make sure you have a decent car to get there as the route is very steep and goes through a mountain range.
The only suggestion that I would make is to make the breakfast hours start and hour earlier for those wanting to beat the parking at popular hiking spots.
Also, after hearing a few conversations, it was not clear on the hotels.com site wether breakfast was included or not. I did pay for mine when I was there and it was only £10 so not a big deal anyway.
