Great location, brilliant staff, very quite at night. Good parking alongside hotel. Aldi & Asda 5 min walk away. Breakfast wasn’t available for our stay, so can’t comment but if your looking for somewhere just to rest your had at night then you won’t go far wrong here.

Our room was spotless as were the general areas. Comfy bed. Perfect location for Beamish Museum and some of the local golf courses. A more powerful shower would have been the only improvement for us. Really friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.

Very clean rooms everything was spotless fluffy white towels a very good hospitality tray toiletries were good quality The staff very helpful couldn’t do enough for you always available if needed . The manager gave 110% of everything . We would definitely stay again if we were in the area . Thank you for a memorable stay .

The hotel was clean and modern. The breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was good although it wasn't available on the Monday. The toilet seat in my room wouldn't stay up. The TV remote didn't work. With the help of a friend we worked out how to switch the power on to the TV (behind the screen) and we were able to control it using the buttons underneath the bottom right of the TV. We worked out how to switch on the power to the shower by using the pull chord. I discovered that my double bed was two single beds pushed together. I did sleep reasonably well. Overall I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was in a convenient location for the town centre and for public transport to the Beamish Museum and the Tanfield Railway. The staff member I spoke to was friendly.

The location of the Hotel is excellent if you are visiting Beamish Museum. The interior of the hotel was very good, the rooms were clean & well presented, as was the bathroom nice white towels, plenty of hot water. What lets it down is the appearance outside the grass was very overgrown & we couldn’t open the window in our room(13) which made it very stuffy, apparently a previous guest had damaged the window lock, but I think it should have been put right straight away Parking was great and the staff on checking in and out were friendly & helpful Would definitely stay here again

This was a very last minute booking. We were drawn in by the price which was good. No-one there when we arrived but detailed instructions got us in to our room. Very clean and modern double bedroom with bathroom. Help was available by phone but we didn't need it. Nearest restaurant not available Monday/Tuesday when we were there. Just across the road was a Greggs, Dominos and Starbucks. Plenty of pubs/restaurants within a mile/2 mile radius. TV buttons not working and window needs fixing. But on the whole a great place to stay.

Cleanliness was excellent, no restaurant for most of my stay. Walls in room are paper thin, so can hear everything in next room! Overall, booking in process very good, room was very good… maybe don’t place guesses in rooms next to staff, especially if they are ill and cough all night long!!!
