“I've been driving by The Shoe for over 40 years and finally took the opportunity to spend a weekend there with life-long friends. It.Was.Fantastic!!!! It's cozy, cool, creative, and full of history! We were thankful for rainy weather because we did not want to leave! Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU to the owners and host for preserving this iconic York County site and for the perfect place to have a mini-vacay with my girls!”

“My husband and I stayed in this cottage for our anniversary. The pictures of the listing were accurate, but the listing failed to mention that the cottage is attached to a residence and sits directly in front of a shop. It was clean but there were areas that needed more attention. There was definitely some temperature swings between day and night, and between the first and second floor. The owner resolved issues we had promptly. Even though there were some hiccups, we appreciated the stay. Thank……

“Perfect stay for our scout troop weekend at Hersheypark. The house was clean and comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed and plenty of space for our group. It was a safe quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes from the park. As others have mentioned, the stairs are steep and the downstairs much colder than upstairs but overall it was exactly what we needed, would stay here again.”

“We were looking for a property close to Hershey Park. This house was perfect for a family of 4. 10-15 minutes from the park so we were able to go back to the house for a rest in the afternoon & go back to the park at night. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Clean house. Owner responded quickly when we had to reach out. We highly recommend.”

“It was indeed very close to Hershey Park, and big enough for a large group. The only downside was that the bedrooms/house was not well ventilated for the summer, making the rooms pretty hot. Otherwise the house was clean, well maintained and overall an enjoyable stay. ”

It was almost as if we went back in time when we stayed! Perfect option if you do not want to stay in hotels! Wish we could have stayed longer to see all that the area had to offer!”
