“The house worked out well for our group of five. The kitchen and dining areas provided a nice place to gather and socialize in the evening. The washer and dryer worked out well after a bit of a snowy and muddy day out in the fields. We will plan to come back again next year. ”

We appreciated how communicative the hosts were from the time of booking, providing a detailed house guide and replying promptly when we had inquiries during our stay. The location was quiet and serene and 20 minutes from downtown Galena. ”

“The place seems small but it had plenty of space for the two of us. There was a pest problem, however. The last time my Dad stayed here, about 3 or 4 months ago, he too had these pest problems. I told Diane about it and she dropped off some traps for us. Just be careful if you leave opened food out. The kitchen had minimal utensils and items to use, but it was good enough. The bedrooms did not have enough sockets so bring a surge protector. Might stay here again. I was not a fan of the pests nor……

“We loved our stay at this beautiful home in Galena. The layout is perfect for family gathering with lots of space in the kitchen, family rooms and outdoor space. The rooms were well equipped with even a roll-out cot for kids, and a crib as well. The hot tub was clean and worked very well. All instructions about the property and expectations were clearly posted which made staying there a breeze. We also loved the 3 seasons room with projector which made for a cozy spot to watch the World Series……

“Very clean! Each bed has 4 fluffy pillows, very comfortable beds. Each bedroom has a tv, very nice! Nice game room. We really enjoyed our stay and will return when we are in Rockford. Only negative for larger groups: This did not affect us, there were only 3 of us. However, there are only 3 bath towels and 1 beach towel. ”

“This house had everything we needed and more.. the beds and furniture were perfect for the weekend stay. Location is perfectly set up for Apple canyon lake. Jim the owner is supper friendly also. ”
