Stevens Point Family Hotel

"All the staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The location is pretty much IN the middle of town so there's a lot of stuff within walking distance. I've lived in the area before and I was back for a visit so everyone basically knew where I was anyhow. The place is clean, but not necessarily in the greatest shape as far as things like towels etc. The curtains in our room had a tear almost the entire length to the top and the heater/air conditioning unit was less than impressive - we had to turn the heat up to 80 for it to even give off semi-warm air and then it got REALLY hot so we were either freezing or roasting with no happy medium. We were exhausted by the time we got in late at night and didn't realize it right away - by the time we did we just wanted to SLEEP rather than change rooms! And since it was such a short stay, it wasn't a MAJOR concern to us, especially for the price. I'm sure they would have been more than happy to change our room had we asked though. They also have an amazing continental breakfast. "

"I had booked two separate rooms for two adjacent nights due to last minute arrangements. The front desk staff was very courteous, and helped arranged for our room to stay the same for the 2nd night with only a small charge for the room type."

"Carmel corn found in pull out sofa. No hand soap in room. App with virtual room key didn’t work. Pool area was not like pictures(wall partition with construction on the other side), and frequently out of towels. Teenage boy's in pool and hot tub in their underwear, not bathing suits. Cat in room and hallway a few doors down from our room. To say we were disappointed is a huge understatement. "

"Bathroom drywall ceiling joints were coming apart significantly, 5 dead wasps were in the bathroom light fixture. Walls were thin making it very easy to hear other guests. Room was not cleaned very well. Breakfast food was low quality. Had to pick big and small pieces of paper microwave bag out of my scrambled eggs. Microwaved eggs were not very good. Sausage was very greasy. No elevator for 3rd or 2nd floor rooms. Pricing online was 30% lower than calling the hotel directly. Staff was fine. A older Woman was in the lobby all the time watching everyone come and go. Not sure if she was family of staff or someone just loitering. Either way, it was an uncomfortable feeling. Bed was too squishy. "
