「My room was clean and inviting. The staff were friendly and professional. The Beer Garden restaurant at the hotel has great roadhouse/pub fare with very reasonable prices and generous portions. The outdoor pool was clean and warm. The included breakfast provided a variety of tasty options. I came for a convention and the staff was very accommodating of all attendees. I will stay here again next year.」

「I want to give this quaint hotel five stars. The place is beautiful, the staff are super friendly and helpful and professional! The restaurant was Devine - top notch food and spirits! It’s just that it’s not restful. We were up until the staff were done for the night, then other guests filtered in making their own racket. It’s an old house - so it’s truly not meant or designed to be sound-proof. Outside of the disruptions, this was a fantastic stay!」

「Driving from Michigan to New Hampshire I was looking for a convenient, affordable place to stop for the night. Located right off the NY Thruway in Utica, this was the perfect place. Clean, cheap, and quiet. Discovering Willie’s Bagel Cafe at the motel entrance was a bonus! The veggie omelette and fresh coffee were the fuel I needed to get back on the road. Be sure to go early, they get busy around 8.」

「Only it's isolation from other attractions, restaurants etc. is really a disadvantage. Cazenovia NY is about 30 minutes away and is a lovely village with many attractions.」

「The surrounding area looks economically depressed and we had some initial concerns about safety. Check in was easy. We were provided with two keys for the front door and room door. The house is well maintained and in keeping with original design. We stayed in the wine and roses room which is next door to the kitchen. If you like to sleep in, this is not the room for you due to breakfast noise. The breakfast was good and timely. There was a hot option (bread pudding and chicken and herb sausage)...

「I didn't like the fire alarm going off at 11am when you get in at 4 am and no warning what so ever! The manager lied and said they have no idea when the are coming to test the alarms I call bu You don't just test alarms that is poor management. Was only compensated 1 day when there mistake ruined 2 days! Never again unless management is replaced!」
