Hotel Gamla Stan was a real gem! Located in a very convenient area, walkable distance to desirable locations and transport, restaurant etc. We really enjoyed how kind and helpful staff was across the board. Breakfast variety and ambiance was solid. Great variety of food to choose from. Loved the ginger shots, smoothies, breads, meats, pastries and local delicacies for breakfast options. We look forward to stay here again.

Excellent location and the room was good. Small. Nice breakfast in the morning. Overall friendly staff. A big downfall, we had to last minute cancel the second room we booked, due to a medical emergency and the hotel would not refund the money. They should’ve done better. Be aware when booking.

Breakfast was fantastic but there were definitely other issues which would prevent me from booking there again. The location is fantastic with restaurants, shopping and transportation. 1. There is no shower door so the entire bathroom floor gets soaked. So much that the water runs out onto the carpet in the bedroom. 2. The shower water was either ice cold or burning hot. I like a hot shower but this was dangerous. 3. The front entrance has about 5 steps which is not cool when you have multiple bags of luggage to carry up yourselves with no help from the staff. 4. There is no mattress on the bed. On the box spring there was just a 2 inch pad.

This hotel has an excellent location in old town - tons of sights, restaurants and shopping within a 5-10 minute walk on the island. The hotel itself is a historic building and therefore, has long twisty hallways, many stairs up and down on one floor to get to your room and outdated decor. The elevator also was out of order while we were there but there was a utility elevator for when we checked out. However, the location was worth the trouble. In addition, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Locations near the waterfront for the boat tour n hop on hop off bus ..walking distance to Royal palace and stortorget area ..supermarket nearby too ...no ramp to bring your luggage you need to carry your luggages by the stairs to the reception but theres elavator to go up the room ...i did not get the vip benefit no restaurant on the hotel

Mi estancia en el Hotel Gamla Stan fue una experiencia encantadora que combinó historia, comodidad y una ubicación inmejorable. El edificio conserva el encanto clásico del casco antiguo de Estocolmo, con detalles arquitectónicos que evocan su pasado, pero ofrece todas las comodidades modernas. El personal fue siempre amable y atento, dispuesto a ayudar con recomendaciones y orientación. La habitación, aunque compacta, resultó acogedora y muy limpia, ideal para descansar después de recorrer las pintorescas calles adoquinadas del barrio. El desayuno, variado y fresco, fue el toque perfecto para comenzar cada día. En conjunto, el Hotel Gamla Stan es una excelente opción para quienes buscan vivir el auténtico espíritu histórico de Estocolmo sin renunciar al confort.

The daily included breakfast was fabulous, and included something for everyone. The bed was very comfortable. I do wish however, they had a mini fridge and a way to brew coffee in the room, (they have a kettle- with instant coffee). This however, was a small price to pay since they had good coffee in the lobby and at their amazing breakfast.

Mycket god o bra frukost! Rymligt rum. Lite varmt på natten och ventilationen kunde varit bättre. Hade också önskat ha en minikyl på rummet. Vi var 3 vänner som reste. Bra att rummet var rymligt men hade uppskattats om det tex fanns 3 glas osv. Nu var det 2 av allt men vi betalade för att vara 3 personer på rummet.
