StedleyCreek! One bed-room apartment in the Stoney Creek area of Branford, CT.
10/10 Excellent
"You don't need to bring a thing. The host Saleste Buckley is terrific. We lived her welcome basket that included fresh eggs. I usually bring a good knife and things to wrap left overs. All good here. The bed was comfortable. Nice Linens were appreciated., Outside patio was enjoyed. Location was what we wanted. Hate to say lots more or it will not available for my next stay. LOL "
A TREETOPS Retreat! Sleeps 10-12, perfect for large gatherings. Seasonal POOL!
10/10 Excellent
"This property was perfect for our family gathering. Our teen granddaughters loved their private upper level, while their brother had a nifty off-the-beaten-path downstairs den. The pool was warm, clean and fabulous. Great kitchen. Comfortable beds for all. My 95 year old dad loved reading on the deck. Caretaker Daniel was terrific. Truly a top-notch stay. "
"This is an old fashioned motor court, not a modern fancy hotel. I like these nostalgic motels, but it might or might not be your cup of tea. The manager was sweet and helpful, eager to make sure everything was to my liking. The room was a bit dated, but neat as a pin and absolutely no unpleasant smells - not just nonsmoking, but no cleaning chemical smells either. The fridge/freezer was clean and cold, the microwave also clean. Plenty of pillows on a comfortable bed. There were windows front and back and a desk where I could work while in the room.
The room would benefit from machine for tea and coffee. They only had coffee in the small front office. I bought a mug and some tea bags at the nearby Stop & Shop and microwaved water for tea which worked OK.
Again a caveat; it did not bother me, but over the back fence was a trailer home neighborhood but they were well kept up with flowers in the yards. "
"We had a fantastic time at the cottage. We were coming from a family event in another state and found that even though this house was smaller in size, it was far better stocked with well-thought out amenities and helpful items for having a great stay. (One example: The other house lacked any place to hang a towel; we marveled that this house has a half-dozen different hooks or towel bars readily available for use.) The A/C worked really well despite it being a 90-degree heat wave.We found Jenna and Tony to be incredibly helpful in promptly answering questions. Additionally, we accidentally left an item behind and they went above and beyond to reunite it with us. We could not have been happier with our choice of houses to stay."
