StedleyCreek! One bed-room apartment in the Stoney Creek area of Branford, CT.
10/10 Excellent
"You don't need to bring a thing. The host Saleste Buckley is terrific. We lived her welcome basket that included fresh eggs. I usually bring a good knife and things to wrap left overs. All good here. The bed was comfortable. Nice Linens were appreciated., Outside patio was enjoyed. Location was what we wanted. Hate to say lots more or it will not available for my next stay. LOL "
"This is an old fashioned motor court, not a modern fancy hotel. I like these nostalgic motels, but it might or might not be your cup of tea. The manager was sweet and helpful, eager to make sure everything was to my liking. The room was a bit dated, but neat as a pin and absolutely no unpleasant smells - not just nonsmoking, but no cleaning chemical smells either. The fridge/freezer was clean and cold, the microwave also clean. Plenty of pillows on a comfortable bed. There were windows front and back and a desk where I could work while in the room.
The room would benefit from machine for tea and coffee. They only had coffee in the small front office. I bought a mug and some tea bags at the nearby Stop & Shop and microwaved water for tea which worked OK.
Again a caveat; it did not bother me, but over the back fence was a trailer home neighborhood but they were well kept up with flowers in the yards. "
"The location was perfect for our trip. Branford is a very quaint town with lots to see and great places to eat. We came back to CT from SC for our son's wedding on the shore by the ocean and a baby shower at Stony Creek Brewery. This cottage is in the perfect location and has huge potential! It is definitely a diamond in the rough.Thank you so much for providing the chocolates, croissants, butter, coffee and flavored creamers. It is definitely a thoughtful touch. The view from the kitchen, dining area and deck are breath taking. We loved being able to see the boats in the marinas, the wild life in the yard, which included bunnies and deer. My son loved fishing from the shoreline and also taking his kayak out. We used to own rental property and always want to know if our clients had any issues we needed to be aware of and take corrective action, Unfortunately we did encounter a few ants in the kitchen. You might want to consider having a professional exterminator treat the property. The air conditioner does a great job of cooling the down stairs. We recommend cleaning it though. There is a lot of visible dirt and may be contaminating the air. I recommend placing a full length mirror on the back of a door so your clients are able to see how they look. We were there for my son's wedding and a baby shower. It would have been nice to be able to look in the mirror prior to leaving for the events. Thank you again for letting us stay in our property. Kind regards,Penny Stefanski"

"Cute cottage close to town, main highways and beach. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Directly on a main road for good access although relatively quiet most of the day. Sleeps five in two bedrooms. Owner very helpful. Would definitely recommend."
"I’m normally not one to leave reviews but I had to for The Carriage House! Everything from the homey, relaxing feel to the great views was amazing! My friends and I wanted to extend our stay lol. We’re already planning another stay here for a summer trip! Also appreciated the host’s friendliness and ensuring we had an enjoyable experience. 10/10"
