“We love this vintage place! Over the past few years, we’ve enjoyed watching them revitalize the place. Many of our colleagues prefer hotels that are more “polished”; but we like the atmosphere here.”

“It is a great location to tour the town and the battlefields, for sure. The property has reasonable amenities, including a friendly lady who shows you how to use their Waffle machine. My primary issue was that the walls are paper thin and we could hear people on both sides of our room speaking like they were in our room. Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done about that without a major re-fit.”

“South Carolina - very nice room, well maintained and clean with a 3rd floor view of the Main Street. Note that all rooms require steps to 2nd & 3rd floor. Good location, close to everything. Owners need to review definition of “B&B”. We have never stayed at a B&B before that charged extra for breakfast. We arrived at 5pm, left at 10 am; never met any employee or owner. Strange!”

“It seems that when booking with a travel site such as Expedia you are assigned to a less desirable room location-near elevators or ice machines for example. The room itself was fine.”

“This is a beautiful 18th century mansion where you feel like you’re staying in the museum yet comfortable enough to wanna stay forever. Dan and his wife greet you at the door. They are so nice. They make a breakfast in the morning that is to die for. This place comes highly recommended and I can’t wait to go back.”

“Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better.”

“The motel was really dated. Didn’t feel like it was very clean as the sinks were rusty, shower & toilet were not much better. Wouldn’t have stayed here if I hadn’t prepaid. Lesson learned! The breakfast was decent but I would’ve paid for breakfast for a more updated stay. Wouldn’t recommend!”

“Great staff. But, updates are definitely needed. No USB ports. Short staffed when it comes to housekeeping personnel. They need help. What I do like, is this Super 8’s location. Centrally located.”
