“Totally Awesome! Place was impressive, secluded and private. Exceeded expectations by a bunch. If I could give 6 stars, I would. This hideaway had everything to make our stay perfect. Dawn had us setup with fresh cinnamon rolls to enjoy from the get go. There is a fire pit , a gazebo with table , grill and trails to follow. The bird feeder was so entertaining from many different birds and the cutest chipmunks. We are hoping to return soon. A great getaway!”

“The cottage is charmingly vintage but still quite comfortable. The hosts include thoughtful touches like spices, toiletries, fishing rods, laundry soap, etc., that aren't necessary certainly but that make for a welcoming stay. Donnell Lake is a quite busy little lake and wasn't our favorite for our quiet little paddleboards and sailboat, but we were also there over Labor Day, so it's probably not always quiet so busy. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying at the cottage, though. The……

“Perfect little spot for the two of us plus the pup. We enjoyed our quiet weekend on this beautiful little lake. The ladies who live here were kind and attentive but not intrusive. The only thing I would advise is if your pup isn’t other pet friendly I would let them know ahead of your arrival. The owners pups were very friendly and we had no issues but I do know sometimes a rescue pup prefers to be by themselves and the fenced in area is a shared space with the owners dogs. “Highly recommend. The cottage is two levels, super quirky (in a good way), and the two bedrooms are nice. They share a jack-and-jill bathroom. The downstairs bathroom has a nice shower. The lake was surprisingly unbusy the entire week we stayed, which was nice. Lots of ways to stay entertained. Lima is close by, with a cute ice cream stand and awesome used book store. Just a little bit further (10-15 min) is Sturgis for everything you might need. Great location. Hosts are easy to get a hold of……
