“We reserved two cabins at Mirador de Sumapaz. We arrived at 11:00 a.m. to ask about early check-in and were told check-in was at 3:00 p.m. When we returned at 3:00, the cabins were still not ready and we only checked in around 3:30 p.m.
Once inside, we encountered multiple issues:
- No hot water in any cabin
- Missing shower heads in all showers
- Empty soap and hand-wash dispensers
- No shampoo provided, only basic hand soap
- Mini fridge unplugged and empty, yet we were asked at checkout if……

“I came only because as kids my parents brought us here many times.
The rooms are old, breakfast is ok as always, service is just ok, many times slow.
Hotel is clean, but there were no towels, we have to ask. The safe box didn’t work, twice a they have to come to fix it.
We had great memories here, and because of that we came… but is a place that has not received any maintenance in years… nice to come, but I’ll never return.”

“I have been traveling through latin America for 3 months and have stayed in many economy type hotels but this one is by far the worst. First of all, the one tiny towel they provided was old and dingy and it even had a blood stain for good measure. The bedding was equally disgusting and the pillows were covered in plastic.
The room i was in had windows facing the hallway and did not close at the top which made the noise from the street unbearable.
On a positive note, the AC worked well and……
