This cabin was designed for guests who want both comfort and connection — to nature, to animals, and to each other.

Petting Zoo: Please go right inside their gate! They are simply the sweetest farm animals, but they are animals. If you have a carrot, they will gladly bump over your toddler to get to that carrot! Act responsibly!



Magic is located in the sweet, quiet, farming town of Sugar Grove (think Valle Crucis but even more laid back), a safe space and with year-round easy access (although we have to recommend 4x4 in the winter months!)

IMPORTANT NOTE: This cabin, aptly named "Magic Cabin" is NOT related to "Mountain Magic Resort" that is located about 15 minutes away. This cabin does NOT have access to the resort amenities, but it has its own private petting zoo!

Amazing cabin with pets

We all had a wonderful time at the cabin. Even our old dog loved hanging out with the farm animals. The cabin is clean , specious and close to all the attractions and restaurants. The internet was pretty stable and I was able to work from the cabin. We will definitely go back again.

Fun place to stay

I rented this cabin for some family coming to town. It was so much fun for them to see abd feed the animals on the property. The house is so cozy and comfortable. It's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy sitting outside or in . Near Valle Crucis which has a great park. Very nice!

Great Stay to unplug and relax

Our kids didn’t want to leave the animals! The property is lovely, beautiful outdoor space and cozy inside. Quick drive into downtown Boone but we spent most of our time enjoying the yard, porch, hot tub and goats.

There’s some magic in that mountain cabin

Delightful, quiet retreat nestled in the woods. The whole family loved the animals. My wife and I loved the serenity. Reading a book on a hammock or sitting by a crackling fire at the fire pit, our stresses melted away! Highly recommend.

Wonderful family vacation

This cabin was perfect for a week with our grown children and grandchildren! The property is amazing! Having a flat yard so the children can play was amazing, and we took full advantage of the hammocks and fire pit. We ate all our meals on the covered back porch and enjoyed the beautiful view. The highlight, of course, was The animals! We can’t wait for a return visit.

Our family of 5 had the best time. Being with animals and having a yard to play in for the kids while mom and dad sat back and relaxed, was the best vacation. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the pictures of the cabin are exactly what you get. The location is perfect and we even went out to eat one night at Over Yonder, it was so good! Love all of this owner’s properties and we will be back for sure!
