There was absolutly nothing we liked, this is a filthy dog box that has not been maintained for ages it looked like the bed linen had not even been changed. You should be ashamed for promoting this place. Never again.
Just horrible place! Fair enough it is being demolished soon but if they place is going to just be run into the ground, then at least lower the cost of a room. I wouldn’t want to pay anymore than $50 for a nights stay there.
The accommodation was the most appalling accommodation we have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The doors on the cabinets and cupboards were hanging off the hinges, there were no glasses and only one small cup in the room, no tissues and broken tiles falling off the walls.
Underneath the kitchen sink blankets and pillows (without pillow cases )were shoved where dishwashing detergent and a sponge or Chun would normally be found. Even the skirting boards had fallen off the walls. There was one bedside table which was metal and the top lifted off along with uneven legs which made it useless.
There were no bedside lamps and only one of the 2 wall lights had a globe that worked. Apart from the light in the bathroom the only light in the unit was the one wall light.
The outside and entrance were shabby and unkempt. Weeds were everywhere and the so called garden neglected making the overall impression disgraceful. The swimming pool was empty. The TV screen was very small. There was no compendium so we had no idea of any instructions or availability of services.
We have owned and run accredited 5 star accommodation. This property has a zero minus rating from us and we hope others heed our advice to steer well and truly clear of Twin Pines Motel Mooloolaba
Was somewhere fine to just have a place to sleep and change while we spent the days at the beach and activities.

A great location, clean but simple room.
The advertised pool looks like it has been out of action for many moons (empty and chained off).
Weirdly the rear windows look straight into someone’s garage/outdoor living area?
Also, on site advertising stated Foxtel but sadly wasn’t connected.
Functions well for a one night stay.

Happy with stay. Property was exactly as advertised. Furniture was dated but price was cheap so exactly what I needed. Very clean , staff were friendly ,great location.
I found the room has been water damaged and smelt like mould, TV remote didn’t work and the hotel was very dated and found it a lot worse than when we stay in early 2000’s with the kids
Staff were helpful but wouldn’t recommend the motel. Cockroach ‘hotels’ liberally over the floor, family room smelt like cigarette smoke, over-priced for what you get.
Phone disconnected and no reply to emails. Is motel closed? Wotif tells me they have to honor twin pines cancellation policy which means they can charge us for room even though we never stayed there because we couldnt contact motel. Wotif, pick up your game. Horrible lack of common sense. Why is property even listed on wotif? They should do some due diligence
We love staying at Twin Pines motel because it’s so close to all the restaurants and cafes and the Esplanade. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are reasonably clean. Great value for money.
Booked online, so no sight till we got there. For $130 plus we expected something clean tidy professional and comfortable. Unit looked OK from front. Booking 'office' was filthy and untidy - first hint!!!
Room looked adequate on entry.
Single bed was broken and not straight - kept sliding off while sitting on it. In an attempt to turn the mattress to over or around to try to adjust it, I stripped the bed. The sheets were certainly not professionally washed/ironed - but were soft and very wrinkled. The under'blanket' was very thin and just lying on the mattress - the non-showing side of the underblanket was STAINED. The mattress was old and ALSO stained. I did not sleep in it. My husband's bed was pretty-much the same, but we had already paid for the room, so decided to sleep in the one double bed. There was no milk provided. The 'hostess' was untidy and unkempt and chewing food on the occasions we saw her. On asking we were given a plastic bottle with some milk in it - no top or covering to the container! No spare toilet roll provided and just enough for our overnight stay. The basin tap sprayed water everywhere - needs something fixed or fitted.
NEVER AGAIN will I accept a nice photograph as a true representative of the room.
VERDICT?? Disappointed and disgusted.
Room was super old and not well maintained. We were told at check in they dont book rooms but "people " and just make up on the day where you stay. The bath mat was wet and dirty and the replacement one not much better.
The road out the front was used as the local drag strip so was loud with cars doing burn outs half the night. The photos displayed were obviously taken years ago. Good location but poor accommodation.

Disliked: Staff & service
Young people around who appear to know but no STAFF assistance when asked...no reception manned...phone calls un answered...rooms near office cop noise all night from behind of 'staff' only' area.
No checkin...made a reservation and was told pick a room by someone walking by
This motel was the dirtiest motel we've ever stayed in. There was a glass in the fridge with lipstick on it, there is no daily cleansing or service. The fridge and floors were dirty. When we used bathmat the it ended up brown from the dirt on the bathroom floor. The 1st time I've never taken shampoo and conditioner. None in the room. No tissues either. There seems to be a group of long term guests thst do the laundry and maintenance around the place. Half way house style. Yes I spoke with these people. The phone in the office is filthy, if you need to contact someone, you have to pick it up and it had sticky tape etc over it. The back if tv remote control was broken and sticky taped. All very unhygenic, especially in a time if a Pandemic. We would never stay here again. Although the price is cheap, there is absolutely no excuse for such a dirty place. I was also speaking to another guest who was staying the weekend. Her daughter said she couldn't wait to leave to get away from the dirty room. They had booked a 2 bedroom place only to be told it had been given away. 0/10 for us. Thank God I went out and bought antiseptic wipes.
Never again at this place. The door to the bathroom looked like it had been punched in. No toilet paper, i had to get my own from next door. Same with the towel. No glasses to drink water from. The ONLY good thing was the aircon. Fortunately check in was easy & the lady at reception was friendly. My suggestion? Find somewhere else. This motel is so run down, I am surprised it passes any inspections, if there are any.
