Beautiful house, beautiful view

Fantastic location, the road up was mostly gravel but little trouble to negotiate with all-wheel drive vehicle. The view was worth the drive! Very comfortable, relaxing accommodations. Great place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Home is within a few minutes of Dillsboro, Sylva, and within 20 minutes of Waynesville. Stop in at Barber Orchard on your way and pick up some apples, have a cup of coffee and an apple fritter! We had a great visit to the area and will return next year!

Our stay at Wildbird

Everything was wonderful. The views were amazing and being able to stay with my whole family in one peaceful place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Sylva.

Amazing mountain views

Home was clean. comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything we could need. When you first walk in the view of the mountains is breathtaking. My wife thought it was a little creepy that there was no blinds in the main bathroom.you should seriously do something with the road. We had a truck and we had to had to use 4wheel drive.

Amazing Mountain View From Nice Home

Our family enjoyed the Mountain View and the well appointed and comfortable home. There was hiking on the property and the hot tub was a plus! The drive up the mountain to the house was an adventure as well. We recommend this property!

Lovely getaway

We stayed at the cabin for our early 19th anniversary. I must say the cabin was very clean and cozy. The views were spectacular! Driveway was a little intimidating at first but after a few times it was no problem :) It rained most of the time we were there but we made the best out of it with movies, and card games and cooking in overall a very relaxing time! We hope to rent again maybe in the fall, I can just imagine the view with the fall foliage..

DO NOT Book for WiFi and Jacuzzi

The views were spectacular with the mountains looking different from day to day. The space was set up nice and the nature trail to the creek was beautiful. The 2 filters which I set for my trip included having WiFi, since I was taking online classes and a jacuzzi, since I would be doing daily yoga practice. Upon arrival for my 7 night stay, neither of these worked. I tried calling Vacasa with no response until day 3. They did not offer to have someone come out to fix the WiFi and it never worked the entire 7 days and they had nothing to say about the jacuzzi. Being that I was staying 7 days M-M they had plenty of opportunity to have someone come fix it but they did not send anyone. Although day 4 they called and stated they would give me a $25 per day credit for loss of amenities, which I still have yet to see. They did credit me $85 which if it was for the amenities for the 7 days should have been $175, but maybe that is why Vacasa has you sign a contract prior to arrival stating they won’t refund money due to amenities, because their intent is not to refund or fix anything. I tried to fill up the jacuzzi with the hose to the side of the patio but it was quite obvious that their is a leak in the jacuzzi, it all leaked out the bottom overnight. I read the other reviews which stated, the jacuzzi was not filled on their arrival as well, so 2 days prior to my check in day I sent an email requesting they ensure it was filled, but received no response and obviously they did not check it. Furthermore, be careful with the drive way, some areas are caving in. I would recommend a 4x4 Jeep to get up. I had a truck but my long bed made it a bit scary trying to turn it around to get back up the drive. Vacasa has poor customer service and zero response so I wouldn’t book anything from them again.

Hot tub issues

Great house. If you select it based on the hot tub, contact in advance to make sure it’s full and working. First night it was half full and cloudy, second night it never got warm enough after being refilled. Was told we’d see a credit but have yet to. Disappointing as the rest of the property is outstanding but the availability of the hot tub was a deciding factor in choosing it.

Disappointment

Location of the property was wonderful when I when arriving it appeared to be slightly unkept outside. When preparing dinner found dirty dishes in the cabinet with dried on food. The linens in master bedroom had seen their better days. There was not enough garbage bags or dishwashing detergent for 16 days. The upstairs shower curtain was very old and unclean. There was odors of sewage coming up through the master bedroom drain In the shower. Cobwebs under the furniture visible from the living room and dining room. The cabin needed a overall deep cleaning. On a positive side we had an issue with the hot tub management showed up immediately and solved the problem.

Kinda dirty but nice.

The driveway to the house was narrow and a little rough but the view when you got there was fabulous. We were disappointed in the quality of housekeeping (carpets, hard surface floors, etc.) but the house was very well furnished including the kitchen.

Potential unmatched

The house needs some updates such carpet and the couch on the TV room but no big deal. The house location and the house itself ara beautiful but what really disappointed us was the cleaning of the house, specially after driving 13 hours . The master shower was dirty the kind of dirty that needed a good scrub , orange grime, fans were dusty, bed frames dusty. Dust bunnies on corners , the coffee pot had coffee residue still the hot tub was dirty as well . We took pictures and documented everything. We called the management and they told us they would get back to us in one hour nevertheless 3 hours later at 9 pm someone call asking us if we wanted a cleaning crew to come that night ? By then we were exhausted, we had already come back from buying groceries and started to clean otherwise we would not have been able to spend the night or shower . The house is beautiful, the views a amazing but whoever is cleaning that house is doing a disservice to the property. We'll not stay there again.

Great place

Beautiful view very secluded and huge place! Totally recommend this place. I will say as other comments have mentioned the driveway. We had a small 2wd car in our party get stuck because she got nervous and took her foot off the gas. You just gotta maintain momentum and you’ll make it. 10 mins to dillsboro, 20 to Cherokee. Only thing to mention is trash is picked up once a week (Wednesday) we checked in on a Monday and cans were already full from previous guests…

Great View but needs work

We loved the view... The carpets need cleaning really bad, we had a severe wasp issue. The online showed Queens in both upstairs bedrooms and a single also which was removed so we had our nephew on a blow up mattress we had to buy. They did reach out about treating the wasps right away but the big company would not be over till ???They did ask to relocate us due to the wasps i. the house but we were the parents of the Bride up for a wedding g and had too much to deal with already to make time to relocate also. The outside chairs are broken, and the back deck needs pressure washing. The walk to the stream is amazing and a wonderful touch to the property.

Very private much needed get-away

This is the second time we’ve stay here. It’s super private with beautiful views. The house is great. Feels like home! The only thing I didn’t care for was the 4pm check-in and the 10am check-out. Felt rushed to get out on the last day. Overall great place but I’ll rethink another stay with the costs and feeling jipped on time.
