We had an amazing stay! The property is wonderful and in a great location and everything you need is within walking distance. The property is well-equipped annd comfortable, and the private terrace is a bonus. Our host, Didier, was so easy to communicate with, taking the time to answer any questions we had. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in Ortigia.

Idyllic Flat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ortigia. Didier gave us so many options for places to eat and see. The location was perfect. Parking was a tad bit challenging. It looked like other people struggled with the payment system at Talleta as well though so I don’t think it would matter where you stayed. We would definitely stay at Didier’s rental again!

Un séjour très agréable et reposant

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil de Didier avec lequel nous avons eu de beaux échanges. Son logement est très bien placé dans Ortigie et bénéficie d'une agréable terrasse. L'endroit est très calme et permet de profiter du charme des ruelles et passages des quartiers anciens de Syracuse. Une expérience à renouveler. Merci Didier pour votre prévenance.

Sofort im Geschehen sobald man die Tür aufmacht und trotzdem sein eigenes Reich.

Super schöne und große Dachterasse. Viel Platz in der Wohnung. Alles da, was man benötigt. Nur die Parksituation mit eigenem PKW ist schwierig - da nur wenige Plätze zur Verfügung stehen und es ein Glücksfall ist, einen freien Platz zu bekommen.

Gîte propre bien équipé et idéalement situé

L appartement est très convivial, bien équipé et fonctionnel. La terrasse est immense et parfaite pour prendre tous les repas. Didier est disponible, plein de conseils sur toute la Sicile et d une aide précieuse pour aider à stationner la voiture 😊 C est un gîte que je recommande pour séjourner en toute tranquillité 👍

Esperienza di vacanza ad Ortigia nella casa di Didier molto bella. La casa è in una posizione di Ortigia dove puoi raggiungere a piedi il centro, il mercato del pesce vicino, dove io e la mia famiglia abbiamo comprato pesce ottimo e fresco che ci siamo cucinati nel barbecue nella bellissima terrazza sotto le stelle che è il pezzo forte della casa! Casa accogliente dove non manca nulla!

Idéalement placé

Super situation : en plein cœur d'Ortigia, centre historique de Syracuse. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans l'appartement. Si les pièces sont assez sombres, la terrasse sur les toits est une vraie pièce de vie, lumineuse avec une partie abritée, agréable, par tous les temps.Très bel accueil, propriétaire à l'écoute, disponible et de bon conseil.

Vi har haft mycket härliga dagar på Ortigia, mitt i den gamla staden, nära till allt: marknad, snabbköp, kyrkor, museer, restauranger, buss- och järnvägsstation, klippbad mm. Lägenheten bra och rymlig om än något mörk, men detta kompenserades verkligen av den fantastiska stora takterassen, delvis täckt, där vi intog alla våra måltider. Vår värd Didier är mycket vänlig och hjälpsam. Han både hämtar och lämnar oss vid bussststionen, och hjälper oss med problem som uppstår. Kan rekommenderas.

En périple en famille, 2 adultes et 2 enfants (11 & 14 ans), nous nous sommes pris pour des Syracusiens. Emplacement idéal pour profiter à notre rythme des nombreux points de visites ( monuments, expos, cultures, etc.) tout en flânant dans les ruelles bénéficiant ainsi du marché, des restaurants, glaciers, de l'ambiance d'Ortigia. Sans oublier les proches plages et le rocher de l'île. Merci à Didier pour son accueil, sa disponibilité, ses conseils (parking, gastronomie, système de la ZLT, etc.) tout en n'étant pas intrusif. L'appartement est spacieux, fonctionnel et la terrasse superbe. Pour info, nous sommes restés 10 jours.

L’apartmento dall’inferno

Poorly maintained and dirty. There are Air gaps around the doors. Some of them or a quarter of an inch wide. I bought weatherstripping and installed it so that we could heat the apartment. One heating unit worked OK the second one was very inefficient. And one of the doorways there were several loose tiles creating a trip hazard. I bought some tape and taped all the joints to hopefully illuminate this hazard. The bed linens were like sandpaper. My wife and I bought our own linens so that we could try sleep comfortably. The mattresses were ill fitting . There is a large gap between the two mattresses making it very uncomfortable to sleep. The bathroom is on two different levels. There is a 12 inch step up to get to the tub and the toilet. The toilet seat is broken and it makes you think you’re going to fall off of the toilet. There was mold and mildew in the tub and on the shower curtain. Lots of mold and mildew. The tub has two different levels. The lower level has rounded making it very difficult to stand. It is impossible to take a shower because there is not enough water pressure nor is there a place to hang the hand held shower. You have to wet yourself down then apply the soap and then rinse yourself off. There is not enough hot water to use the shower two consecutive times. One has to wash and the other has to wait for more hot water in order to wash . All of this coupled with all the dog poop that accumulates in the little short Street in front of the apartment make it one undesirable place to have a vacation. I should have followed my wife’s advice and vacated the place the day we arrived. It was not an enjoyable time at all

Gut ausgestattet, tolle Terrasse

Das Apartment mit der riesigen Terrasse (die uns zum frühstücken Anfang September trotz Überdachung zu heiß war) ist großzügig geschnitten und die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Man kann also gleich mit dem Wohnen und Kochen loslegen. Didier ist ein herzlicher Gastgeber, der an alles gedacht hat - vom ersten Frühstück bis zum echt leckeren Begrüßungsprosecco. Klopapier, Küchentücher, Waschmittel....alles vorhanden. Da die Unterkunft mitten im dicht bebauten historischen Ortigia liegt, hört man seine Nachbarn natürlich auch deutlich. Manchmal rinnt das Wasser nur sehr dünn aus dem Hahn - vermutlich wenn alle Touristen gleichzeitig duschen. Alles ist fußläufig wunderbar erreichbar.

Ortigia romantica e da scoprire con tutta calma

Bellissima vacanza a Ortigia e nei dintorni. Un ringraziamento sincero al sig.Didier che è stato davvero molto ospitale e ci ha dato i giusti consigli sulle località da visitare e come godersi Ortigia non da semplici turisti. Casa spaziosa e accogliente, a due passi dal centro, ma una menzione particolare va alla terrazza che abbiamo sfruttato con piacere per le cene in famiglia e nei momenti di relax

Molto buona

Didier ha una casa accogliente, e con una terrazza impagabile. Comoda da tutti i punti di vista: posizione per il parcheggio, per visitare Ortigia, per goderti la casa. Insomma, una buona scelta.

En fin lejlighed, der dog mest er egnet til et par plus evt. Børn. Fantastisk terrasse med megen sol. Beliggenheden er meget central, men man kan ikke parkere tæt på. Parkering foregår i p-hus, der er nem gåafstand, til 10 euro om dagen. Meget fin service fra udlejer. En lejlighed der kan anbefales.

Conforme alla descrizione dell'annuncio. Molto pulita, anche nelle notti più calde il sonno fresco è assicurato dai condizionatori posti in entrambe le camere. Bello e comodo il terrazzo dove la sera è possibile fare fantastici babrbecue con il pesce comprato nel vicino mercato. Gentili e attenti i proprietari.

Satisfaits, Conforme à l'annonce

Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour dans l'ensemble. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et donnent de bons conseils. L'appartement est conforme à l'annonce. La situation géographique est idéale. Nous avons apprécié le grande terrasse sur le toit, avec le BBQ ! Conseil pour les voyageurs équipés d'une voiture : - difficile de se garer, mais il est possible de souscrire un abonnement au parking Talete (cinq minutes à pied) pour 40 euros par mois, mais il faut se rendre à l'adresse suivante : Via Elorina, 12ème Settore (à proximité de la protection civile) le matin avant midi ou l'après-midi entre 15h30 et 17h00.

Wonderful stay during March 2016

The apartment and our stay in Siracusa were great. We had a great time. We really enjoyed the generous apartment including the big terrace with the BBQ. The terrace has enough space to stay eiher in the shadow or in the sun. You can choose between the deck chairs or sit on the big table to enjoy your meals under the blue sky. The Overall condition of the apratment is good and clean. We didn't miss anything in the kitchen equipment and used it from time to time to process our pickings from the daily market. Also great is the possibility to have BBQ on the terrace. Get the freshest fish on the market and enjoy. The handling with ther hirer was very easy, uncomplicated, correct and friendly. You get any support you need. Looking forward to our next stay in Sicily.

Il est facile de visiter le coeur d'Ortigia puisque vous y êtes :) et de se rendre à la gare à pied (compter 20 minutes de marche) pour aussi découvrir les alentours (Ville de Noto pour notre part, superbe). Pour la baignade à Ortigia , la Plateforme Solarium est idéale. Bref séjour des plus agréable!

Simplement merveilleux !

Une semaine de vacances réussie dans une ville magnifique, un patrimoine, une population et une histoire qui émerveille.
