「Elsa d’Ortigia is a superb place to stay, full of character, and in the centre of historic Ortigia island. Above all the owners and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast is served in a communal dining area so there’s an opportunity to chat to the other guests. There’s also a charming outside seating area. I’m pretty sure we’ll be back!」

「Great location and a nice spacious apartment. Breakfast was rather poor - very basic spread with heavy emphasis on pastries」

「 The hotel staffer is nice, very helpful and we can communicate with each other in English. The hotel is close to train station and town centre but it takes a little time to locate it. The hotel sign board is quite small and not so easy to identify. There is an Asian restaurant next to the hotel which I enjoy having food there. The hotel is located on the 2nd floor of the building and there is no elevator. I appreciate and thank that the hotel staffer gives me a helping hand to deliver luggage...

「Overall, the stay was good, and everything was fine. However, I was disappointed that I had reserved for 3 people and was only informed the night before arrival that the property could only provide a room for 2. This should have been communicated much earlier to allow time to make alternative arrangements. Otherwise, the stay was good.」

「We enjoyed our stay at Giuggiulena Villa! The location is right on the water with a gorgeous view of the Ionian Sea, nearby sea caves, and just a few steps down to access the water for swimming. Sabrina and Claudia are wonderful hosts. They are personable, friendly, and helpful. Claudia is an amazing cook and provides a delicious homemade breakfast. We especially enjoyed the freshly brewed bialetti coffee, freshly baked stuffed breads with spinach & cheese/ ham & cheese, homemade tiramasu, fresh...

「The property was as pictured. On a great location as a solo traveler I appreciated it being in a well lit area. Walking distance from the coast line and with some nice conveniences close by. Example a small grocer. And a laundromat. There was a minor problem but this was handled I recommend messaging in Italian with the help of a translation app if you don’t get a response quickly. It did the trick for me. But my contact did communicate in English. I didn’t use the kitchen amenities too much but...
