I stayed at Marriott Autograph Collection – Hotel Duval in Tallahassee, room 311 and I must report a serious safety issue in my room. The shower water temperature is extremely hot, with no functioning cold water, and as a result, I sustained a burn while attempting to use it.
This is not only a severe health risk but also a violation of basic safety expectations and building standards. Water temperature regulators are required under various state and local plumbing codes to prevent scalding and ensure guest safety. Furthermore, under Florida law and general premises liability principles, hotel operators have a legal duty to maintain safe and habitable conditions for their guests.
This situation is unacceptable and poses a clear liability. Given the physical harm and the significant impact on my stay, I am requesting full compensation in the form of a complimentary stay. I also urge immediate inspection and repair of the issue to prevent further risk to guests.
