"Nice and clean "

"When l checked into the room on second floor, there was strong foul odor and bathroom floor had black mildew. The sink in the bathroom had mildew too around the edge. Carpet was filthy. It was then l realized that the a/c was on max in hallways to mask this humidity odor. I complained and about the condition of the room to receptionist and she said she will have maintenance look at it. I spent the night in the room and could not sleep due to smell. Next morning l complained again and they found the odor was from a/c and immediately removed me to the 5th floor, which was better but there was a huge area of condensation marks on ceiling. "

"Very badly maintained room with sagging mattress and pillow, unsightly stains on the sink, curtains, table top and seats in addition to moldy furniture. Never experienced such an unpleasant stay in my years of travel."

"I’m genuinely confused how this hotel maintains a 4–5 star rating because our experience did not match that standard. To be fair, the bedding and towels were exceptionally clean, which we appreciated. And while even one or two cockroaches is not ideal, we are in Malaysia and understand that can occasionally happen in tropical climates. However, several issues were simply unacceptable. The room had no toilet paper provided maybe a few squares left on an empty roll and zero back up at all, which is a basic necessity and should never be overlooked. Even worse, the room was extremely hot — easily 90+ degrees — despite the hotel advertising air conditioning. Our AC unit ran the entire night and never cooled the room even slightly. Sleeping in that heat was miserable and made the stay very uncomfortable. A hotel in this rating category should absolutely provide functioning climate control and basic amenities. Unfortunately, this stay was disappointing and did not live up to expectations. We had 3 rooms. 2 out of 3 zero air zero toilet paper. Just a terrible stay wish we booked somewhere else."
