“We had a great stay at the Rustic Modern Tiny Home! It was a good size for our family, two adults and two teenagers. The loft is small, but even our very tall son was able to sleep up there with no issues. The location was quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was a great treat! Only a ~15 min easy drive from Jim Thorpe. The home was in great condition and check-in was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Home is family and pet friendly, nice amenities including pool table, foosball and air hockey. Location and community offers more during summer with access to lake, non-motorised boats/canoes, and access to pool and community center with restaurant. Owner and property manager are excellent communicators via text and vrbo app. Recommend renting from this owner”

“COMFORTABLE MATRESSES AND FURNITURE!! Huge thank you to the owners! Perfect in between place for my son in medical school in New York, his girlfriend, and me from Maryland to meet. They loved the peacefulness that got them away from campus, his rotations, and its intensity. I loved seeing all the wildlife and hearing the variety of birds around us. City escapes is very well stocked, has all of the kitchen tools that you need along with a terrific coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, oven and……

“This is the second stay for my family at Brookside. What we enjoy most is having access to 370+ acres which includes fish ponds and paths for meandering. There's a nearby stream and waterfall to explore, plus easy access to the D&L trail for walking or biking. Also, Hickory Run State Park is close by for hiking. Overall, a very relaxing place to escape!”

“Black Diamond Retreat was a wonderful place for a family gathering. Both indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and gave everyone room to spread out and wander. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit every evening and playing corn hole and bocci outside as well. Even though it seemed we were away in the middle of nowhere and very quiet, town was only a short drive away. Some of us did take and enjoy the Yuengling Brewery tour. Landon answered our questions along the way promptly as well. We all……

“Some damage noted. Main house down stairs bathroom door damaged on the inside. Damage to wall in the guest house. Infestation if lady bugs in one of the bedrooms upstairs in the guest house. In suite bathroom in main house was not clean. The stove in the main house was in very scarred and not clean. Sever areas of concern for safety reasons. No handrails or bars on stairs to basement in the main house and steps to the deck are very slippery when wet. We had two people slip on the stairs. There……

“We had an incredible relaxing experience. We had coffee by the fire. We fed the fish in the pond, so much fun to watch them jump up and eat. The place was extremely clean, The furniture was super comfy. It was perfect for what we wanted only 20 minutes away from Jim Thorpe, and it was a quick ride to town.”
