My wife and I with our son who’s 17 and daughter that’s 15, stayed for 9 days. Kelly and Olber at Blue Zone were very easy to communicate with. Their office is also easy to find right in town, which was useful when discussing/planning activities. The pool and outdoor cooking area was great and we used daily. The space of the house fit all of our needs. Spacious bedrooms, each with private baths. Like most neighborhoods in Tamarindo, there’s construction going on all around, almost daily, which can be a bit noisy, this is no fault of the house or property managers, it’s practically unavoidable and we spent a lot of time exploring the area on foot and golf cart.
The key/lock box situation was kind of wonky at first. You need a key to enter and exit the home, so if someone leaves and puts the key in the lock box, outside, the people inside cannot get out. We connected with Blue Zone right when we got there and they showed up within the hour with another set of keys which alleviated the problem. You have to be diligent every time you leave, to make sure you put your inside keys back on the key hook inside and the outside keys are put back in the lockbox outside. A door handle with a key code would be the obvious solution, however; there’s a clear trend in the area to secure your property with tall concrete walls, topped with spikes and razor wire so this locking process forces you to be mindful of locking your door.
Overall we liked our stay and the home.
