The room was wonderful, very comfortable beds, amazing tub and separate shower! The property was gorgeous! When we arrived, there was no sign outside telling us we had the right place and because it was dark, there should have been an inside light left on. The porch light was on and the innkeeper had called to tell me that she wasn’t going to be there but it seemed dark and sketchy without a sign to know for sure that we had the right place. When I met Kris, the owner, she was so sweet and accommodating, a lovely person. I would absolutely stay there again!!

Would NOT recommend

Paid for what was listed as a King Bed with a "private bathroom" but what we got instead was two twin beds pushed together and a bathroom that you had to exit the room and go out into a common area to get to. Our "private bathroom" had some other guest taking a shower in it and had defecated in the toilet and we could not get a hold of building management to clean the bathroom so that we could use it.

This was the most amazing retreat! Kris anf her husband were amazing and so friendly. This retreat made you seem like you were at home! They have a beautiful property and lots of stuff to do or even just sit back and relax!

The house and room were awesome, the property was as peaceful as you could want and the host was second to none. We will be back to visit. If you want somewhere to go and just disconnect from life , this is the place.

This place was absolutely amazing the owners are very friendly an helpful the property the housing so beautiful The bed in our room could’ve been a little better but by no means a dealbreaker we’re definitely looking forward to our second trip here in late July with the rest of our family

Stayed at the Riverbend Retreat as part of a vacation package for three nights. Situated in a private and quiet street yet very close to amenities (gas station, pharmacy, restaurants etc). The surrounding property backs onto a river with a dock and numerous mature trees offering a very peaceful environment for those seeking a break from the city. The owners are generous offering various options for breakfast made by Amy, who was very attentive and helpful to make the guests feel welcomed (assisted in finding tools, ensuring any requested condiments were restocked, offered to help set up campfire and offer tour of facilities), and 24/7 complimentary tea/coffee/snacks/water was much appreciated. Both a well maintained and professionally operated retreat for couples and family (hot tub and outdoor games including chess, ring toss, table tennis, and river access for kayaking etc).
