TAIGA Tarifa Valdevaqueros
8/10 Good
"We loved our tent, but it was in need of some repairs. There was wood that needed to be nailed/screwed so it was squeaking in the wind all night. We used a towel to wedge and mostly stop the noise. There was also a broken zipper on the main door but we know how tough that can be to fix and it wasnt an inconvenience. We were most impressed with the showers, WCs and laundry. One of the shower rooms wasn't as great but the one at the back of the property was incredible! Great water pressure, very hot water and very clean. We loved the kittens everywhere and they suprisingly didn't try to get in the tent which was nice. The fan and mini fridge made it too notch. And although sleep was gough due to high winds moving different parts of the tent around, the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. "

“Discover One of the BEST Villas in Andalusia” The Times UK
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in this house with our 4 adult children, just prior to the beginning of Spanish summer high season. We loved everything about the property; the views, the pool, the kitchen, did I mention the views? The one thing I would point out, especially for those with younger children, the climb down to the beach is not for the faint of heart. 267 steps, no railings, some of the stones are breaking away. It wasn't a problem for us, but it would have been when the kids were younger. The town of Zahara was "just right" for us. Despite a lot of modern development on the outskirts, the downtown has retained just the right mix of charm and convenience. Lots of great restaurants/cafes, cute shops, and a fantastic fish/veg/meat market. "

Meliá Zahara Resort & Villas
8/10 Good
"Nice resort style hotel. Excellent pool. Close to zahara. Decent gym. Breakfast great.
A couple of annoying things:
1. Parking cost 20 euro per day. This is a lot in my opinion. Plenty of parking options just outside of the hotel. No one mentioned the cost of parking to us on arrival.
2. Costs of drinks at the bar. A tiny bottle of water and a soft drink was 7.40. Feels expensive.
The have “special” beds around the pool that are almost always empty yet they are taking a lot of prime space.
Personally I am not a big fan of dividing hotel guests into different classes when all staying in the same hotel. But for some this might be a plus.
Those are small things. Overall the hotel is lovely and rooms are decent size and the facilities are very good "
