「Well located for shops and both Exeter Main and St. Davids railway stations. My room was compact but well thought out and well equipped. It was great to have a light next to the bed which you could turn off/on easily and the shower was good. Breakfast was first class, beautifully served and coffee one of the best. I would have liked more savoury options for the breakfast but that is just a small preference. Host was really helpful and very welcoming. I would stay here again.」

「Bed was lovely nice linen .. basic facilities we paid a lot more then my friends £10 extra to take your dog .. shower was only hot for myself and cold for my partner same for my friend’s.. needed to find a toilet roll from downstairs as only half in the room which wasn’t quite ready at 3:40 .. ok for one night」

「Room was clean, tidy and comfortable, we even had a small courtyard to sit in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Able to park on the street outside. Shops and harbour were in walking distance and there was a golf course opposite. Lovely breakfast that set us up for the day. Would definite stay again and would highly recommend.」

「Quiet and clean, with a simple Check-In and Check-Out process. Plenty of parking even for large vehicles, and spacious rooms. Great shower and heating kept us warm during a rainy week. Easy route to get to Woolacombe beach.」

「The Royal Oak Inn is situated in a lovely area. It was easy for us to park. On arrival which was somewhat late, there was no one to look after us. I got the attention of someone in the kitchen who alerted the manager. We were given our room key and on arrival in the room I noticed that there was quite a bit of hair in the sink and some in the bathtub as well. I mentioned it to the manager and when we returned to our room after dinner, which was delicious, the hair in the sink was gone. The...
