“Lovely place. This is a rustic place in the middle of nowhere and is fantastic! Worth all the travel. Staff were amazing. Food was superb. I had the giant Yorkshire pudding with beef bourginon. My room was lovely and the bed comfortable. A very welcoming place even for a single traveller like me. I’m definitely going back at some point! Brilliant”
“We had a great welcome after walking all day on the Pennine Way. The room was comfortable, clean and met our every need.
The evening meal was delicious and ample.
We would definitely recommend High Force Hotel.”
“Unfortunately my wife had fairly bad illness during our stay, through no fault of the hotel, but I would like to praise the staff, especially the night manager for the assistance to transfer my wife to hospital.”
“Smooth check in and communication with the host, was met at the cottage and given the keys and information about the village and local area. Rooms where clean, shower is very nice and beds very comfortable. All in all will definitely stay again when back working in the area.”
“on a steep hill. steep stairs. creaky double bed. no headboard on single bed kitchen step steep. stair rails becoming detached. bedding was clean lots of pillows and towels clean. sink about as small as you could get one. difficult to actually wash and the shower head needed attention as did the soap holder (rusty and black). carpet on entry curled up so a trip hazard. as we only slept there, it was comfortable enough but we didnt cook anything . kitchen was a bit……
