“Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. The room was clean & very comfortable with fantastic views. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were all very friendly and attentative. Will definitely visit again.

“There will be free ticket for whitby abbey.
The building is nice and historical. Many facilities for guests to use. I like the drinking water the most.
A bit difficult to find the entrance and the 199 steps to hostel is without light at night. It is a bit dangerous if you back to hostel late at night as you can't see the steps.
The breakfast is very tasty and many different choices to choose.”
“Location worked well for us. Small room with en-suite. Out the back for a country pub. Ample parking nearby. Room not great at keeping noise out - could hear footsteps overhead from residents upstairs and voices carried across the count yard late at night. “Overall, the room is warm and comfortable although it is relatively small, sufficient for move of one person. The bathroom is large and warm. One drawback is the location is not near to Durham town Center (35 -40 minutes walking distance) and go some slopes before reach the hotel. ”
“Sorry to give such a bad rating because the hotel was fine. The issue was a wedding that had a loud disco and noisy drunk guests until midnight. I only got to sleep properly about 1am and was shattered for the next 2 days, it was a long drive there and back to get to the hotel and I was on a paid course so not a good experience.”
