The cabin and the location are great. However, this is not a “premium” cabin. The gas logs in the fireplace didn’t work. The icemaker didn’t work. The oven was so dirty that when we turned it on it smoked up the entire cabin and not one smoke alarm went off. We had to open the doors and windows to clear the smoke. There were no hairdryers, no soap in the showers, and each bathroom had about 1/4 roll of toilet paper. There was a dirty pillowcase on one of the beds, no curtain or blind on the glass patio door in the upstairs bedroom, no extra trash bags or toilet paper, many missing or burned out light bulbs and the windows were dirty. The bathroom mirrors and faucets were dirty, but surprisingly the toilets and showers were clean. All in all a very disappointing stay and when the owners responded, they said they had been very busy with back-to-back bookings and offered nothing to compensate us for their property’s shortcomings. We would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone at half the price. If all of the broken items were repaired, the entire property cleaned, and the usual amenities provided, it would be a great place to stay.
