“The breakfasts were a highlight. We were always asked what time we wanted breakfast and each day we were greeted with a healthy, tasty and Ecuadorian breakfast and fresh juice. The hotel is conveniently located in the historic Old Town but on the outskirts so there is little noise. For us a highlight was being able to watch the New Year's Eve tradition of burning effigies right outside of our window because it is in a residential neighbourhood. Mario and Blanco were fantastic hosts from helping us during our very late arrivals, to a wonderful breakfast each morning, helping us with suggestions on where to go in Old Town, making our dinner reservation & transport to the airport. Not walking distance from your typical Holiday Inn and restaurants but closer to the typical Ecuadorian life style and food. Its like a maze inside the hostel with creaking wood floor.”
