Lovely warm welcome with nice staff . Excellent breakfast included, great location to visit chapel down and Tenterden. We booked a suite, room was small but nice with Comfy bed only negative was one side of room had low ceiling which meant you couldn’t stand up in the shower properly without bending to one side. Only a minor point but worth noting if you a very tall. We would visit again!

Stayed 1 night Wednesday 2nd September at the White Lion. We were passing through Tenterden and decided to stay overnight. We couldn’t have chosen better accommodation. We stayed in the Biddenden Room and it was so spacious, clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the bar/restaurant that evening (very good wine choice recommended to us) and the food was excellent as was the breakfast. We would definitely recommend staying at the White Lion. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Sandra and Jim Williams

Clean room, comfortable bed but room could do with some TLC. Quite noisy early in the morning with deliveries etc. Can’t comment on breakfast but the bar/restaurant food in the evening was very tasty.

We liked everything. However — we would have liked bedside lamps, a hook for towels by the shower, and a fix to the hazardous step by the bathroom.

This pub was like a home from home. The staff were friendly and were especially welcoming to our Labrador. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the welcoming touches for the dog were a sign that he was really welcome - it was our first time staying in a hotel with him. The location was great - right in the middle of Tenterden within walking distance of lots of other restaurants and pubs. The food in the pub was also great, and there was a selection of wines and beers too.
