“I can't say enough about the staff at the Charlotte Street Hotel. They were friendly and attentive. They managed to check me in early after my transatlantic flight. They also stayed on top of getting my prescription glasses back from the driver from the airport before my stay ended. The interior design of the hotel was charming and unforgettable.”

“Ich war wirklich sehr positiv überrascht als ich die Unterkunft betreten habe. Es ist alles sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Alle Geräte, Fußbodenheizung etc. hat funktioniert. Nichts kaputt oder schmuddelig. Auch das einchecken über Türcode und schlüsselkasten hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Die Lage ist überragend, höchste Dichte an Pubs und Restaurants. Trotz der Lautstärke Abends, hat man im Schlafzimmer nichts mitbekommen davon, somit konnte man gut schlafen! Die Kpche ist sehr schön, kaum……

“I'm going to start off with my complaint, then go to my compliments.
Complaint --
We had room 202 with a bathtub/shower combo. The bathtub is one of those elevated ones that sit about 4-5 inches above floor height. The floor of the bathtub was very slippery and there was no anti-slip mat/coating. And there was no grab bar or anything to grab onto when exiting the shower/tub except the thin glass plate on the side of the tub used to keep the water from splashing around the room.

“We have stayed in many hotels and found The Academy to be just like a small, family run hotel. It was excellent. The staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful, particularly Felix and the ladies in the breakfast room. Be careful if you are sensitive to noise.
"I'm very concerned with the sleeping quality that I can get in a hotel so this hotel is between 3 to 4 out of 5 for me. The bedding is very comfortable and the room is very decent and clean. The only downside is that the wall and door are really too thin, and that the hotel is busy with people in and out. The door when closed would create a loud noise capable of waking everyone up. You can hear the music and conversation of the adjacent room easily.
Also, the cleansing staff, although having done a great job in cleaning, was really creating loud noise when they clean (including slamming the door of the cleaning room). Despite putting up "do not disturb" sign outside my room, the staff knocked on my door at 9:20a.m. just to confirm if I need housekeeping service. This is simply too annoying and stressful for a quiet enjoyment of the room."

Love it. Perfect location hotel.
"The bed is very comfortable. Is a highlight of the hotel. Also location wise is perfect for people travelling to the airport too. The only thing was the hot water either super hot or none. Is hard to adjust for the shower to a suitable temperature for a shower. "
