"Overall the hotel is very nice. There’s Starbucks and chick f-la on the ground floor and a smoothie shop as well. The only negative is that the rates changed when I checked out. Not sure why, and I didn’t have time to make a complaint. The room was amazing. Spacious and supper quiet. The cleaning staff made sure your room was cleaned. The food in the tavern was delicious."

"We had a great time at this hotel! I wish the breakfast hours were a little extended, but it was a decent meal. I think more thought goes into the presentation of the food items, than the food itself (could have been better, for sure.. but, it is complimentary!) The staff were very friendly and so were other guests! We had requested a crib in our room before we left for some errands and when we returned, a staff member had put the crib together in our room AND put his little fluffy bear in the crib so when we arrived, my kids were very excited over the cuteness! Our room was 99% clean! Some things get missed, I understand, but by the bathroom sink on the floor, there was a lipgloss cap, bobby-pin, and a chunk of fake lashes… Everything else, was fantastic!!!"

"The king bed was super comfortable! The room was pretty great except for a couple things. The bathroom door is like a rolling slide door. It does not seal and there are huge gaps. Anyone in the room can see through the 3” gap while you are showering or listen to you go to the bathroom. It was clean except for the roll out bed for our child. That had a big yellow urine stain. They also knew we would have 4 people and this was the only type of room that was available but no extra bedding for the roll out couch beds were provided. We had to go ask for those."

"Room was really nice and comfortable. Great stop on a road trip for an overnight rest. Bedding nice and comfortable-room spacious and clean, bathroom nicer than other competitive brands like Hampton Inn….tile/glass, nice living room and TV—backlit lighting overall great experience….very well lit parking lot, close to convenient Wawa…Areas of opportunity: coffee and breakfast in lobby not high quality, AC unit was loud…..Overall, super happy with this hotel!"

"I can't speak for anybody else or any other review, but I'm speaking for the review that I personally had the one night that I stayed there. I recently stayed at the Red Roof Inn Richmond during a late-night trip, checking in around 11:00 PM and leaving around 7:55 AM the next morning. Because my stay was so short, I didn’t have enough time to fully evaluate everything the property had to offer. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. One of the biggest positives was the pricing. The rate was very reasonable, and I appreciated the value for the money. The main difference I noticed compared to past Red Roof stays was the room fragrance. It’s been a few years since I’ve stayed at a Red Roof Inn and primarily they have been in Virginia Beach, but I don’t remember those rooms having the same scent. To be clear, it was not a bad, dirty, or musty smell, and the room appeared clean. It seemed more like a cleaning product or air freshener that just wasn’t particularly appealing to me. The bed was okay and provided a decent night’s sleep, but the A/C making a distinct noise kept waking me up, but I'm a light sleeper. I would likely stay here again for a quick overnight stop because of the excellent pricing and great staff. However, it probably wouldn’t be my top choice for a full-day or multi-night stay. Overall, it was a clean, affordable hotel with friendly service and good value for the price."
