“Very convenient to get to from the airport. Walkable distance. We loved the design of the hotel with no carpets in the rooms. We just had a little problem with the TV. The sound was on but picture was black after awhile of watching. ”

“It’s a shame that this property will be torn down and another luxurious resort will be built in that place. Sand Castle was the last quiet, small spot in this area but I guess one can’t no fight economic and progress ”

“Liked the bedding and front desk staff. Very disappointed in breakfast as we were told that no hot scrambled eggs would be provided after 9am even though the tray was empty an hour before breakfast was supposed to be completed. ”

“This is a great place to stay for a couple; the house is small but cozy. We really enjoyed our stay, and would consider staying here again. This is more like a 4.5 star rating. There were a few things that kept this from being a 5 star review: bathroom shower was incredibly small. Also the towel rack needed to be screwed in tighter, it was starting to come off the wall. Bathroom could also use a new paint job. The coffeemaker likely needs replacing..the inside of the reservoir looked pretty bad.……

“The place was just as described. Access to the beach was great and also a short walk into the center for food, shops and the like. Internet was out more than it was in, and we needed to buy some basics to use while there, but overall was a fun week!”

“This is not on the beach. It’s across from the beach behind a building. So it’s not ocean front. It’s small but met our needs. The only issue was that the unit holds a lot of moisture in it and it felt like all the sheets and blankets etc were wet when it was raining. Also, there is no bathroom fan to get the moisture out. Black mold growing on the window in the bathroom. Also, the gravel you park on gets tracked in easily into the unit so take your shoes off before going in. Lastly, a comment……

“I was visiting Sarasota/ Siesta Key to see family and found this lovely place to make things convenient for everyone & I am so very glad I did. The wildlife, El Toro Bravo, Trader Joe's, Mellow Mushroom, Sunday drum circle at sunset, Oscar Sherer State Park, Sarasota Village (Gidgets, Orange Octopus, Casa Smeralda, the Roman organic Gelato place to name a few of the fabulous places), beaches, etc. made this a wonderful stay in this area. This cottage was like a relaxing & welcoming place to go……
