Brought our own food in so we could enjoy both evenings sitting round the fire pit. The place was clean, neat, and had all the amenities one would need. Easy to get to from town. 「WONDERFUL rustic cabin in a rural area of Texas Hill country. We stayed in the “German Chocolate” cabin for 4 nights during the solar eclipse and throughly enjoyed our stay. Easy 2 mile drive to Fredericksburg. Lovely baked goods waiting for us on our arrival, plus Sophie’s Bakery is right down the road where additional goodies are available! Would definitely stay here again!」

「Cute barn, but was 10 feet off the Highway & was a big noisy. Owners were working on property 10 yards from the glass front door so privacy wasn’t great. no ice/ ice cube trays or bottled water. Interior walls are very thin so the sound really carries 」

「I thought I was booking another RB&B closer to town that was larger so when I arrived, it was a little bit chaotic with my partner. She was a bit disappointed, but overall we were very happy with the facilities and I would recommend it. Two little snafus, one the yard man was mowing and weeding when we arrived and not his fault he was having to work around the weather conditions and he was there as we were leaving mowing the front yard. 「My husband and I go to Fredericksburg fairly regularly, yet somehow had not stayed here yet. We absolutely loved it! Our cottage was at the back of the property, behind which was a nice grassy area in front of a stand of trees. There were multiple fire pits with chairs. We did not make use of those, but it was a lovely space and made us feel more relaxed just knowing there was a “backyard” if we wanted to sit out on our little porch or use a fire pit.
