Blue Flamingo Resort Key West

"What a lovely place to stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and unbeknown to us, our daughter contacted the hotel to let them know. They had left a bottle of wine with a red heart balloon attached and a lovely card in our room. It was such a sweet and kind gesture. The room was immaculate and spacious and well set out; you could tell a lot of thought had gone into it all. There is plenty of facilities too, including 2 pools and outside games for all the family. There’s even a Starbucks on site as well as bars and eateries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. The free shuttle to and from old town key west is a brilliant idea and we certainly made use of that. Thank you everyone at Blue Flamingo Resort"

"Too noisy. Pools must be separated for the kids only & adults. Otherwise no chance for adults to in the pools. There must be a sale point fır basic needs as there’s no food service. Providing a shuttle service for Boardwalk makes the facility premier!"

"I like the room, the balcony, and the overall appearance of the hotel.The property itself was beautiful. Unfortunately, my birthday experience was ruined by poor room service customer service. When I called to order food, I was repeatedly transferred back and forth between two employees. As someone who uses an accessibility device for Deaf and Hard of Hearing communication, this was especially frustrating. I eventually asked for a manager, who handled my order professionally and made sure my food was delivered. I appreciate the manager's help, but the experience left a negative impression. I was also disappointed by the nightclub experience. As a hotel guest celebrating my birthday, I asked if there was any special access or VIP accommodation and was told no. After seeing the long line, I ended up returning to my room and missing my dinner reservation. The day pool party was the highlight of my stay. The staff were friendly, the food was good, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. However, the seating rentals were extremely expensive. Another downside was the location. Transportation costs were very high, with Uber rides often costing $60-$80 each way. Because of this, I was unable to enjoy all the activities I had planned. While the room and pool area were excellent, the poor room service experience, expensive transportation, and disappointing birthday experience mean I would not stay here again. "the bathroom was horrendous, the tub had big chips in it everywhere, the vent grate was completely rusted, the ice machine on my floor did not work, the television was not working and showing a "network connection error" the wifi wouldn't connect. But at lest the sheets and towels were clean and smelled nice."

"The restaurants and pools and shops were very nice. We upgraded to a suite that supposedly faced fireworks from the Volcano Park, but there were no fireworks. Our suite was older, dated, but pretty well maintained. The toilet kept running. Overall we were happy."
