Great neighborhood& location

March vacation

Honest Truth

Great location and the property was well stocked with everything you need. However, we soon noticed that the floors were sticky and needed moped, all the carpets were dirty and needed cleaned. Also the bed in the master bedroom was not comfortable and the TV in the living room should be replaced. We stayed for one month and once we cleaned the floors we enjoyed are stay at this home and enjoyed the golf carts. Again this home is in a great location.

Great for Us

Reviewer Comments: I rented this property for family, including 4 adults, a 2-year old and a dog. The golf carts were a huge plus, much appreciated. Loved the well-stocked and lovely space but: Following a recent storm the lanai had obviously flooded, leaving dead worms and dirt on the floor and a moldy smell that made the lanai and giant screen TV unusable. The kitchen refrigerator froze milk, cream, beer, soda and eggs, some of which had to be discarded, and never improved in spite of raising the temp. We moved liquids to the garage refrigerator, which along with some outlets didn't work until we figured out the GFI in the garage had to be reset. There are water stains on the living room ceiling, age unknown. There were no check out instructions either by email or text until after we called for instructions. The literature in the house was either outdated or not applicable to the property and contained no checkout instructions.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Refrigerator would not cool. Reported it day1. Got a call day 3 from management company asking if still needed dishwasher fixed. Fortunately there is a refrigerator in garage. Property management company reported only 1 golf cart available. Property description indicates 2 available. As a golf foursome renting, we rented a second golf cart. Upon arrival at property, discovered two golf carts in garage. Finally management company directs you to review check out instructions in binder. Located binder and no check out instructions. We called for check out instructions. Glad we did it would have missed golf cart gas-up requirements. Finally note if you rent via VRBO my, they bill you a $105.00 fee for using their site to rent home. You then deal with Down Home properties and their fees.

Beautiful house, Great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time we stayed at this property and the location was great. Minutes walk to Lake Sumter. The house is as described and pictured and is in good clean condition. A Gas powered cart is provided and gives you all the range to get from one end of the Villages to the other. One note, it is a soft mattress in the master bedroom, not something I am used to.

Not happy

We were not able to stay at this property. Because of the breed of our dog, we were not allowed to stay. I feel those questions should be answered well before booking. My family and I were on property, about to check in and had to find another place to stay after traveling for days to get to this destination

Great House, Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a beautiful home in a great location. The properety description was pretty accurate, except for the bed sizes. It was advertised as queen beds in each of the two guest rooms. One room had a small full size bed. The other request that I would make is to put a table in the lanai, so meals could be eaten out there. Location was fabulous, very close to Rec pool and Sumter Landing. Down Home Property did great.I would definitely reccomend this house to rent.

It was very close to an absolutely beautiful pedestrian walkway. Also very convenient to grocery stores and restaurants/shopping, and the other town squares. The house was clean and nicely accommodating. My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide a Keurig coffee maker.

The conditioned lanai and bright ski lights are especially nice.This year we were not happy with the cleaning job that was done on the house. The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced.

Great location close to everything

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A short walk to the neighborhood pool, a 5 minute cart ride to Lake Sumter Landing, 10 minute cart ride to Palmer Legends Golf Course. Bogart and Bacal executive courses are just down Canal too. Golf cart and 2 bikes made getting around easy. Master suite is really nice. The other 2 bedrooms each have their own TVs, as does the patio. Management was very responsive - sent someone over to change the refrigerator water filter promptly after we called to report filter light on. Overall, a great place if you want to be in a quiet neighborhood that's still close to all the action.
