We were in the Villages for about 3 weeks. We have family in the area. This villa was clean, well stocked and great location! The owners were very kind and answered texts quickly! Definitely a prize!!!

Great place to stay

The only difficulty we had was the fact we had an early flight out and we had to get up super early to wash the sheets and towels. Although, in all fairness I think that had I let them know, they may have said not to worry about it. They were very easy to work with. Would stay here again w/o any hesitation.

Great location and cilla

Perfect location and perfect accommodations for us and our little dog ❤️ we especially liked how they enclosed the sun porch and made it air conditioned living space with a love seat and tv, it was a nice surprise! The villa was lovely, clean and perfect for us. We would definitely stay there again! The addition of a golf cart to use was was a bonus for us! Thank you 😊

This property was beautiful well maintained very clean The location is excellent close to Sumter Landing owners provided a golf cart, which is a great added benefit property felt safe. Owner is responded to any questions right away and seems very concerned that I was having the best possible vacation. I appreciate that highly highly recommend this property and owners.

The hosts were great communicators! The property is very close to Sumter Landing and we enjoyed riding in the golf cart to shop and take out at restaurants. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Property is exactly as in listing! Great stay!

The Village Gem 2 lives up to its name😎

The property owners Bill and Laurel made sure that everything was just right for our stay. The house was clean, tastefully decorated and fully stocked with all of the essentials. It was in a prime location.... close to Sumter Landing/Town Squares, Caroline Pools and many golf courses!

Perfect Location and Lovely Home

My husband and I, along with our dachshund, spent a week at this home in early July 2024. The house was clean, with modern decor and a well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The beds and linens were very nice, and the living room furniture was quite comfortable. We also appreciated the YouTube TV for watching local news and weather while there. The location was very convenient for many things, including a grocery store, Lake Sumter Square, and golf courses. And it didn't take long to get to Spanish Springs via gold cart, either. We really appreciated the fenced-in backyard for the dog.

Wonderful!

Village Gem really is a gem! The kitchen was well-stocked, the decor & furnishings immediately made us feel at-home and the entire home was spotless. Plus, we could not have asked for a better location. Hosts Bill and Laurel obviously put a lot of thought and care into this home and it shows. It made our stay exceptional. We would recommend Village Gem without reservation to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in The Villages. Thank you!

Great location and home

This was our first visit to the Villages. The home was perfect for us. Two bedrooms, two baths, very clean and comfortable. Nice patio in back. Golf cart was great and a must have in the Villages. The location was perfect. Less than five minutes to the town square. Three championship golf courses within 10 minute golf cart ride. Pool nearby. Owners very helpful prior to arrival and during the stay. Our stay couldn't have been better. Thanks for a great trip.

Repeat stay.

We love the Village Gem! This is our second time staying here and we are already planning on coming back next year. It has become our home away from home. The house has everything you need. You are just a few minute golf cart ride from the square/grocery store. The hosts are great, they respond to any questions is a timely manner. Our daughter is 4 she loves the study which has a love seat and a tv, it is “her own” living room. Can’t wait to return!

The house was comfortable clean. The location was fantastic! Only a couple minutes drive to Sumpter Square and Winn Dixie grocery store. The private backyard was nice too! I didn’t love having to wash the towels and sheets and put them in the dryer before we left. I never mind putting a load in the laundry prior to leaving but waiting for a load to dry before putting the next load in made us leave later than we would have liked. We appreciated having use of the golf cart when we golfed at Mallory Hills golf course which was very close by.

The Villages

We loved this place. Location was perfect. The courtyard was great to have for our pup. The neighbors were friendly when taking the pup for a walk. Parked our truck when we arrived and didn’t move it till we departed. The golf car was awesome. The wife and I were talking. This might have been the best stocked vacation rental we have stayed in. Trash bags and paper products etc. Thanks Laurel and Bill. We definitely will be back.

Clean & comfortable

The owner was very pleasant to work with and was available pre, post & during our rental. The home was comfortable for 4 adults to relax and visit. Plenty of towels. The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. The bed in the 2nd bedroom, I was told was not comfortable, but when I checked the bed it seemed soft and quite possibly not supportive for some. The kitchen was fully equipped. We only made breakfast and had everything we needed, the option for drip coffee or Keurig coffee worked out for everyone. The golf cart availability was a plus. However, we didn't use it, as we didn't want to get caught in a rain storm. Enjoyed the close proximity to Sumter Landing/market square. Highly recommend and plan to visit again. enjoyed the

Great location

Nice property with a very easy golf cart ride to Sumter Landing!!! My only (but significant) gripe was the request to wash the sheets and towels before leaving the property. 1) This is presumably incorporated in the cost. 2) Who has time for this? I washed the sheets as a courtesy and still waited 20 mins for the wash to finish before we could leave. I would have waited another 40 mins had I washed the towels. Never mind had we used the spare bedroom and had two other loads of sheets and towels. And it was an older washing machine so there was no way to wash sheets and towels together.

Flawless Stay at the Village Gem!

We had a phenomenal stay at Bill and Laurel's Village Gem. From the moment we first chatted, prior to booking, all the way through our last day, we received the best hospitality and thoroughly enjoyed our home away from home. This unit is beautiful, clean and central to the most ideal sections of the Villages. My girls LOVED the golf cart--a highlight of our trip! We were in super close proximity to the square, the grocery store and community pools. Everything about the home was comfy and enjoyable. This was also the most well-equipped rental we have ever stayed in; the games and activities were an added bonus. Laurel and Bill were great. They were incredibly fast to reply when we needed anything and they were very flexible to our needs and requests. We cannot wait to come back and enjoy this little piece of Heaven again. My stay

I had a wonderful three-month vacation here. The house is just as stated, with everything that I needed. The backyard is enclosed for a pet. There is a golf cart included. The hosts are so attentive, want everything to be perfect for one's stay. I couldn't of asked for a better location. I would positively recommend this home. I will be back also.
