Plenty of room and gorgeous woodwork and wrap around porch. Beds and shower were especially nice! Lots of extra touches to make you feel welcome and special! Want to come back when we can just stay in the cabin for a few days and not leave for events.”

“It was amazing to have the privilege of being able to stay in a home that is this timeless. However with an 1850's home, there are some aspects that may not be what you're used to, especially the bathroom facilities. They were OK, but a renovation in that area would be welcome. The beds are all comfortable! Great internet, too. I loved just seeing all the antiques ... and the beautiful views. We weren't often at the house because we were in town for our daughters graduation. It's a unique……

“Great little rustic cabin with an exceptional view. Stayed here with family and our two dogs, and we all had a wonderful time. The cabin had everything we needed. We sat on the front porch in the morning and watched the river roll by, and played board games in the evening in the screened pavilion. We saw deer and turkeys passing thru the yard. We spent one day walking the Chessie Trail, which winds you thru cow fields - we loved seeing the new calves romping around. Everything was perfect - we……

The location was exceptional and provided easy access to the interstate and also local attractions. Finally, we found the kitchen very functional and the house offered several places to rest and relax.”

“This place was clean, confortable and perfect for our group, and the owners were incredibly helpful and kind to us - they were even better than the place. Two very minor downsides - it's a bit of a drive into Lexington (about 6 miles, and a slow drive on country roads) where our activities were, and the high windows let in light earlier in the morning than we wanted to wake. But those were minor to us. We'd stay here again, without question.”
