“This is brand new property (we were apparently it's first overnight customers) directly on the Bay of Kator that is immaculate. Spacious room with balconies overlooking the bay with a modern design and setup. The staff was fantastic especially Nikoli, Aleksander, and especially Milka the manager. Breakfast was a la carte, fresh and delicious, with homegrown olive oil bottle on each table. “A truly 5-star hotel with great service. The check in staff has very kindly accompanied us to our room and introduced us to the various areas of the country and the hotel. The air conditioner works great. The bed is, unfortunately, a bit too soft. Free bath salt is included in the restroom for those who would like to have a relaxing bath in the bathtub. “This stay at Carrubba was disappointing. The room was poor; a low ceiling meant we had to crawl into bed, dated and poor quality furnishing, no bottled water, no tea/coffee facilities etc. There was a nasty smell from the drains in the room and on the stairs. “The only reason I’m giving this hotel 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff was genuinely excellent. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and clearly tried their best to help, especially the front desk employee who worked hard to resolve our issue. Unfortunately, our first night was spent in a room with broken air conditioning. Despite the summer heat, we were only provided with a fan, which made for a very uncomfortable night’s sleep.
