"Hotel Tsubakino is a bit of heaven on Earth and our stay will be fondly remembered forever. Their staff attentive, professional and friendly. In pre-arrival communication with repeated follow ups they asked about our special needs. The food exquisite with them going out of their way to make their traditional Japanese menus gluten free for my wife, not a simple task. The facility exceptionally clean, our room beautiful, and their hot-spring baths wonderful. Location great for seeing local sights such as the snow-monkey park. Simply loved our stay."

"They, the staff, exceeded my expectations . Courteous, helpful, kind and pleasant are words that I would use to describe them. Everyone greets you with a bow and civility, right down to the hardest workers in the hotel. For that, i will surely come back. My stay at the Prince Hotel East was worth every yen and then some. I originally was suppose to stay at the Sunvalley Hotel, in Shiga Kogen. I lost my reservation there due to payment issues. I was hesitant about coming to the Prince Hotel. It was my first time. The room i stayed in was probably one of the best i have seen for the price. The next time I am in Shiga Kogen, i am staying at the Prince Hotel East, without a doubt."
