“Terrazzo Torno is a remarkable and secluded getaway off the beaten path in Lake Como. Arriving at the Villa is a grand and private experience. It took some communication to get the taxi driver to the final location. He stopped at the Mandarin Oriental gate though I had told him we were not going there. When we got to the right spot, he was hesitant to drive down the steep switchbacks to reach the villa but I had read another review that said you must insist! He still didn’t take us quite all the……

“Condition of residence much better in photos. No hand soap or hand towels. Only 2 bath towels for 2 people. Only soap in unit was dish soap. Changed check-in time from 1600 to 1700 which was not convenient. Could have used better instructions to access parking garage off main road and then provide walking directions to unit. With a little more TLC this place could be outstanding. In its current state I would not stay again. One pillow had no case and was stained. Beds rickety and thin memory……

“torn Design apartment is a great period property kept in a really good condition. Easy access to ferry and few restaurants in the town. Very nice friendly locals around in this area. Little café at the top next to the bus stop is really good. They had some amazing pastries and biscuits selection. Area is very quite at in the evening except for the square where you will see lots of locals and the tourists near the restaurants and bars. Apartment was a self check in and check out. Basic……
