"The house was beautiful! The house was very clean and accommodating. Family friendly, the kids loved the game room. You’re so close to town if you need to pop in and grab a few last minute things, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Frank was an amazing host. We enjoyed our time there. The property is gorgeous. I will definitely be recommending this property to everyone I know who is looking for a house to stay in Caroga Lake!"

"Room and property was clean. Parking is plentiful. WiFi was glitchy this time around. Televisions in the rooms are smart televisions. HVAC units are clean and easy to operate. Only one staff member is on duty at any given time. Might be a weekend thing. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room was clean and ready to use."

"Upon arriving I was surprised to find the Inn in a state of need. The young man who checked us in was super friendly & offered to help with our bags. Our room was exactly as described & pictured online. It was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean & towels were available. I thoroughly enjoyed the balcony - it was a great reading spot and I soaked up the early morning sounds out there. The Adirondack chairs on the lawn are very inviting and the view is exceptional. Check in/check out we’re really easy online, but the personal touch at the door was warm and welcoming. First thing to understand: this is a historic building. It’s very old and so the floors and the stairs creak, the doors make some noise when being pulled shut to lock, and you can hear people talking in the hall (or room above in our case - not enough to hear word for word). It is not a Holiday Inn but it is enchanting and has loads of character. In speaking with others and asking around, the owners are relatively new (this year) and are rapidly working to correct work that had neglected to be done previously. Right now the restaurant and tavern are not open but the repairs should be done soon. In talking with the manager, they have great vision and are making repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible. It is going to be beautiful so have some patience and bear with them. I cannot wait to see the strides they make by our stay next summer."

Quaint 2-bedroom cabin on Oxbow Lake perfect for relaxing lakefront getaways

"My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights in mid July, celebrating our anniversary. This cabin was beautiful, very clean, very comfortable, the perfect spot to relax. Check in was super easy. The host, Susan was excellent with communication, and had left a welcome basket for us with snacks and drinks and a lovely note, a very nice touch. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was well-stocked and spotless. Kitchen has everything you could need. The yard right in front of the cabin is a prime stargazing spot, absolutely stunning views on a clear night. The lake. It’s breathtaking. One evening it was so still it was like a mirror, and the sunset was incredible. We didn’t end up using the canoe but we plan to next time we book. The location is also perfect. Speculator is a short drive down the road, maybe 10 minute drive, and there’s everything you could need in town. Lots of fun things to do nearby (like CampStore!), lots of good and great restaurants, and so many hiking trailheads. 10/10 recommend, and we’re already planning next year’s trip!"

"Such a quaint little cabin. A clever set up running on battery, propane, and generator when needed. You are certainly out in the woods. Able to cook outside and hang with a fire having the amenities inside when needed. Limited cell service and getting away from everything is exactly what we (2 adults and 1 teen) wanted! Didn't turn the TV on once. There is a store within 20 minutes also. We aren't close by but, would love to return sometime. Thoughtful host(s) and nice neighbor down the way. Thanks again!"
