Unfortunately there was only green tea and no coffee in the rooms, however, the chef sells coffee during breakfast for 100 yen which was nice to have.

Great hotel

Great hotel close to the station. The staff is really amazing. The rooms are simple yet very good. Great Internet connection even for video calls. The free breakfast was just amazing (you can bring it up your room if you want) Just make sure not tk book a smoking room if you don't smoke like I did... But if you do, they have sprays that help with the smell!

The hotel was very clean, spacious, and the staff very kind and polite. For people travelling, the staff speaks english very well, so check in and out is easy. As a guest, you are given a complimentary drink/food item every day, from a pre set menu; there is alcohol on this menu for those that are wondering. There is also a complimentary breakfast at their restaurant right next to the concierge. It is a traditional style breakfast, that includes Miso soup, natto, rice, tamago, salad, pork sausage, and fish. Drinks are refillable. Overall great place to stay. Toyooka is a small but peaceful city, so the train is within walking distance, as is everything else.

The hotel is clean and well-maintained. The staff is so friendly. They offered me a beverage when I arrived. My only disappointment is that the only room left was a smoking room. Unfortunately, having rooms that allow smoking is still a thing in Japan.

I stayed here for easy local bus access to Izushi castle town. The staff were very welcoming and on arrival you get to choose 2 free items from the ‘mini bar’ (beer, soft drink, chocolate, chips). The hotel is very functional. I had a double bed room and I think you could squeeze (and I mean squeeze) two small suitcases and still be able to walk in the room. The bed was typically very firm but the more European pillows were soft. Hallway and other room noise (TVs) comes under the door but as the clientele seemed to be be mostly Japanese and very respectful, it was quiet around 10pm. The set Japanese breakfast is very filling. If you are on a budget, Sky Hotel is a good base for day trips (12min local train, Y200) to Kinosaki-onsen.

Wir wollten gerne Kinosakionsen im Winter besuchen und haben uns entschieden, dafür in Toyooka zu übernachten. Klar, es ist ein Business-Hotel und die Zimmer und Badezimmer sind eher klein und zweckmäßig, aber es war für uns aus so vielen Gründen die perfekte Wahl, unter anderem: Wegen der Lage: - das Hotel ist in einer Top Lage (sehr Nah am Bahnhof, ca. 7 Minuten Fußweg) - sehr nah an Lebensmittelgeschäften und Malls sowie Restaurants - gute Ausgangslage um bei schönerem Wetter zum Geopark mit dem Fahrrad zu fahren. Auch wegen des hervorragenden, so herzlichen, hilfsbereiten Personal! Als wir wegen eines Schneesturmes für 24 Stunden Toyooka nicht verlassen konnten, hat das Personal wirklich alles gegeben, um uns zu unterstützen. Auch haben sie ganz spontan noch ein Zimmer für die Notfall-Nacht für uns gehabt, das wir direkt wieder beziehen konnten und uns wieder aufwärmen konnten. Einfach ein hervorragender Service und Einsatz. Dieses Personal ist wertvoll wie Gold. Die Zimmer sind wie gesagt eher einfach und eher kleiner, aber wir haben jeden Tag sehr gut geschlafen, die Betten sind sehr bequem, die Dusche sehr schön warm. Im Gebäude selbst ist es sehr ruhig, auch Autos hört man eigentlich gar nicht. Nur morgens, da es eher ein Hotel für Geschäftsreisende ist, müssen manche Gäste schon etwas früher los, manchmal hört man das auf dem Flur aber es ist absolut kein Problem. Täglich gibt es Wasser in Flaschen und jede Nacht die man bleibt ein Getränk oder Snack nach Wahl.
