Besides its massive size, St Peter’s Basilica is famous for being the final resting place of St Peter (one of Jesus’ 12 apostles) and a significant number of past popes. At the time it was built in the 1600’s, it was also considered to be the greatest work of Renaissance architecture ever made. I’ll never forget how awe-inspiring it was to walk through this brilliant architectural marvel! #History
