「It’s an older establishment with unique decor! Group of stone houses, nestled in a mountainous area, very relaxing and peaceful! Spacious room with necessary amenities. Balconies to sit and gaze the view. We only stayed one night. I would think it’s more of a winter accommodation but definitely provides coolness’s for the heat of the summer as well.」

「It was a little hard to find because the rooms are in a back alley way, up several steps where we eventually saw a dign, but the place was really nice with heated floors which were welcome on a cold day. The gal who showed us around was really sweet and very responsive. I'll for sure stay again if ever in the area! 」

「We stumbled across this retreat almost by accident and it was the highlight of our trip to Greece. We’ve traveled the entire country and seen the most amazing places but the Ambelona Retreat is in its a class of its own. 「An amazing little hotel with very friendly owners/staff. Only six rooms but a decent-sized pool with easily enough sunbeds and umbrellas for all. We used the hotel as a 12-day base for multiple roadtrips to Olympia, Sparta, Mycenae and others, but every other guest only stayed 1 or 2 nights on stopovers.
