“Lovely self sustaining eco resort in the midst of the forest.
We loved the food, the coziness of the cabin, the yoga classes, and wandering around the property. The farm tour and the night tour were fun activities to do with a 4 year old.
We did not like: occasional smell of sewage around the property, especially around the pools. Dated bathrooms in cabins - needs a refresh. Construction noise around the property.

“Our stay in La Fortuna was absolutely unforgettable. The property itself was beautiful, with incredible views that made every morning feel special.
We especially loved the heated pool — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring — and the cozy fireplace that made evenings warm and peaceful. The whole place felt private, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for a relaxing getaway.
Everything exceeded our expectations, and we’d happily stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking……

“Absolutely loved this place and would recommend it to anyone who wants to feel close to nature while staying in La Fortuna. Our bungalow was spacious and cute and we could hear the amazing sounds of the cicadas, frogs, and occasional howler monkeys throughout the night and birds in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant was very good (highly recommend the Patacones). “Absolutely amazing place. The swim up bar and views of the Arenal volcano are breathtaking. The staff was always helpful and so kind. Club rio has so much to do and great with kids. The food was top notch… plus you can eat anywhere with any menu which is great for families. You can’t come to this area of Costa Rica and not stay here. Everything you need or want is here and if it’s not they will set it up for you!”

“This was our first stop in our 10 day trip and we loved almost everything about this hotel. The service was outstanding, the aesthetic of the property was impeccable, and our room was divine. The only thing I would criticize would be the prices of the food available. We ordered ribs for lunch which cost $33 and they gave us 2 ribs which were smaller than my 9 year old son's fist. We ended up eating in town most of the nights there. Their complementary breakfast was delicious though.”
